Relax in our contemporary cottage on a picturesque acreage just a few minutes from the beautiful town of Mudgee. Experience a rural lifestyle enjoying the views from the verandah or spotting the short sheep in the paddocks. Gaze up at the cosmos at night and wonder at the Milky Way stretching out across the sky!

Ideally located to explore the wineries, several located within walking distance or the exceptional food experiences at Pipeclay Pumphouse and Zin House.

Great stay once again

This is our second time staying at short sheep and we loved it. The cottage is spacious and clean. We even saw bit of the milky way in the sky at night.

Weekend at Short Sheep

Cozy cottage style accommodation with sheep for company. Grateful for the reverse cycle that kept us warm. Close to wineries and a five minute drive in to the main part of Mudgee.

Very relaxing!

Lovely property to relax in with verandah overlooking a paddock with sheep and mountains in the background. The place had everything we needed including very comfortable beds and appreciated Tony allowing us having a later check out due to ill health. Would definitely come back again

Perfect getaway

What a beautiful stay! Tony was a great host throughout the whole process making sure we felt welcomed & had everything we needed. The cottage is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities needed, even some extra items (pantry & bathroom items) which was a bonus. It’s in a great location with only a short drive into town whilst still feeling like you’re in the country. Cannot recommend Tony’s accomodation enough!
