We booked this hotel very last minute on the morning of our stay. I wish I had read more of the reviews beforehand! Room was very dark with very harsh desk lamps for lighting. No plug sockets round the beds. Chair had a very nasty what looked like blood stain o it! Fan in bathroom caked in dust. Soap dispenser looked like it had never been cleaned due to the black grime on it. We had dinner in the Pub/Grill. Food was actually pretty good. Huge menu but nothing really on the menu if that makes sense. Struggled to choose between just 2 things in the end. Bar staff really don't want to be there. Just grunt at you when serving. Not very welcoming. Chef constantly coming out of the kitchen to hang around the bar was off putting as he kept touching his face/hair and would then go back into the kitchen more than likely not washing his hands before touching food... Breakfast!?!? where do I begin. Gross, disgusting, dissapointing, miserable, poor...We got there about 9.15. Food was cold, bacon looked terrible. Dishes with the serving spoons on were covered in dropped food. Really disgusting. Staff would be walking around and not clean up around the hot food area. Juices were emply. They don't seem to refill these! No fruit at all anywhere! Very, very poor. My stomach is still turning just thinking about it. Only tea available was Camomile, peppermint or earl grey! Very odd. Go to Starbucks instead of wasting your money here. Actually go to another hotel rather than stay here!!
