Booked a Deluxe room which was spacious and comfortable. Disappointed there was no fridge or safe in the room, but there was plenty of coffee/tea options (as with all hotels not enough milk) and biscuits/chocolates. Shower was big and water pressure good with plenty of hot water.
We didn’t eat at the hotel as there were so many restaurants & cafes nearby. Within walking distance of shops and attractions.
The staff at reception and in the bar were friendly and polite. Received a discount when parking at B4 car park about a 5 minute walk away.
We would stay again if in Birmingham.

The Hotel Du Vin is well located for shopping and restaurants. It has an excellent breakfast selection (we didnt dine in the evening so cannot comment).
Staff were friendly, polite and knowlegeable.

This was our second stay in this wonderful hotel the suite was amazing and the bathroom was the best I’d ever seen in uk close to all the restaurants and would recommend to anyone

This is a lovely characterful hotel. It has a great cocktail bar and breakfast was very good. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. Location was perfect for us as we were dining nearby. Very comfortable, spacious rooms.

Feels a little bit tired now. Could do with a redecoration and some investment in the little luxuries that the room rate warrants. No mini bar in the room. Not even a bottle of water. Used to be a great hotel chain but now not worth the price tag now.

As you come to expect from Hotel Du Vin, the welcoming and attentive staff make the experience. Walking into the room you already feel like you’re in a special place, and our room didn’t disappoint. Very comfortable, well appointed and classical style. The only slight gripe was that our bathroom with roll top bath and walk through shower was a little cold - but when we casually mentioned this to the staff to suggest they check the heating, they struck off the drinks we had charged to our room as an apology, which was very unexpected.

We did enjoy the stay at the hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The bed was a little uncomfortable as it was not level.

Arrived at 2.45pm for a 3pm check in. Room was not ready had a a drink in the bar tried to check in again at 3.15 Room still not ready.
Having a dinner appointment at 3.30pm elsewhere meant we could not change and freshen up for this appointment.
Arrived back to the hotel at 5pm room still not ready.
I had booked a signature suite not a standard room and expected a little more effort be made to get the room ready.
Eventually got in to the room at 5.15pm.
Although the hotel is very nice the service is very poor no reason given to why the room was not ready.
The grand hotel just up the road eclipses the service received at this hotel.

The hotel staff are friendly. The bar is superb. Breakfast is very good. The communal areas are smart. However our bedroom and bathroom was very tired. The shower would not get hot just warm. The TV is too low to watch in bed. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Service at reception on arrival was poor. Room looked OK at first glance but for a "deluxe" room amenities limited. Room was starting to show it's age. Cold no matter what you changed heating to. Traffic noise too loud and was woken up by it throughout the night. Music was blaring from somewhere and bass vibration was felt until 5am. Couldn't work out if private function in hotel bar or from another room. Service in restaurant was terrible.

Luxurious stay at Hotel du Vin. We stayed in a Classic room and were impressed with the comfort of the bed and the quality of the tea/coffee and toiletries. The hotel is located in a really nice part of Birmingham whilst being a quick walk from everything you need. Only thing missing from the room was a small fridge but the robes, slippers and Nespresso machine made up for this.

Overnight stay in Birmingham
Room was pokey and dark, space was so tight, the wardrobe door could not be opened fully to access the tea and coffee making facilities. No fridge, air con. Didn’t work, heated towel rail didn’t work, bedside lamp didn’t work. Nice toiletries, but nailed to the wall . Service in the bar was good, didn’t eat at hotel, so can’t comment .

The suite we booked was dark and didn't look as it did in the pictures.
The air conditioner didn't work, and despite that, there was non-stop noise coming from it.
During the room cleaning, the housekeepers threw our clothes on the floor.
However, the location is great - close to nice restaurants and a shopping area.

The room was fine, but the bteakfast was a little disappointing; the jot playe was good, but we kept having to ask for refills for milk, for pastries etc....on borh mornings!

Not luxury, barely adequate
Room tired, e.g.toilet stained, fridge didn't work, broken chair. Biggest issue was heating - sudden extremely loud noise started (sounded like a helicopter landing). Called reception and asked for new room, told that maintenance would come and bleed radiators. Solved issue for only half an hour, then the noise started again. We were then given a different room which was okay until 7.30am next morning when the same heating noise from a neighbouring room woke us up. So disappointed, and not even a gesture as an apology.

Overall a beautiful hotel. The spa needs to return. Room was huge but stains on the carpet and around the air conditioning units On the ceilings. Also the blinds don’t cover the windows fully so to light in a morning. Beautiful huge comfy bed and wonderful shower.

This is a charming and comfy hotel in central Birmingham. The rooms are clean, well kept, and comfy. The staff is wonderful and helpful. I will absolutely stay again the next time I come to Birmingham.
