Our stay at Ashfield was great. Our host was attentive and anything we asked about she was able to provide the items or the information we required. The kitchen in the house is a bonus and fully serviced. The location is good for visiting the local area and Manchester.

Lunatic Goisa - The Attendant
Gosia pretended to “go out of her way” to please, insisting on carrying our luggage, literally grabbing it from my hand in-spite of my protests that we could do it ourselves. She offered us a free upgrade (but we shouldn’t tell anyone), and then “upgraded” us again, without our asking. She offered us to use the kitchen upstairs, and encouraged us to help ourselves to anything we wanted, giving us the combination and key of another room in order to gain access. Max and I were so impressed that we were going to leave her a very handsome tip. Unfortunately, we forgot to do it, we had to get up at 4:30 AM to make it to the airport. This must have triggered her to write me a very nasty letter, calling us thieves for taking an Apple, one small individual box of cereal, some sugar packets, and a few coffee capsules from the kitchen, which we left in the room. We left the room in great condition, taking care to place all the trash in the trash bin, leaving it in the same condition we got it with the exception of the linen and towels used. We left some good groceries that we bought from the supermarket and didn’t want to throw away, in case someone could use it. Some food was left on the kitchen counter, some eggs and butter in the refrigerator. A little bag of sugar spilled on the countertop, which we didn’t have time to clean, and two unwashed mugs of coffee and teaspoons. This doesn’t justify the nasty words Goisa used, like a totally different person or a lunatic.

Fabulous accom & fabulous host!!
When our apartment that we booked in Manchester for the weekend cancelled we were completely panicked, however we managed to find this hidden gem and I’m so glad we did!!! We booked the king deluxe room. It was spacious, clean and perfect for the three of us. The sofa bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was incredible! Gosia, the host left plenty of complimentary bits and bobs for us and we also had access to netflix and wifi. Coffee machine was lovely too! Everything about the stay was smooth. Gosia explained the check in process on the day of arrival clearly, she was also super helpful throughout our stay and replied promptly to any questions we had! A fantastic host!! We also had access to a parking space which was really convenient! Location is amazing! Really close to supermarkets and other shops too. For us it was very easy and close to central Manchester (20ish min drive), where we spent most of the weekend! However, we were super chuffed to use this accommodation as a base to rest! Would recommend a million times over and look forward to booking in the future when we inevitably travel up north again!! Thanks again for everything Gosia!!

Perfect base for Altrincham and Hale
Given I was exploring the area on foot, I couldn't have found a better base for both Altrincham and Hale. A beautiful, well-finished, comfortable room in a home-away-from-home feel. I didn't want anything more than this and so it suited me perfectly. And I would recommend it if you are travelling alone too, very safe and quiet.

Loved it
Loved the place, exactly what I wanted and so much more. Room was stunning, very comfy and just what we needed for an overnight stay. The owner was amazing and went out of her way to help us when we needed something. Would recommend to anyone. Cafes and coffee shops nearby are perfect as well

Nice guest house in a quiet area
Me and my son stayed two nights in a Studio Deluxe room with a mini kitchen. The room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. Gosia, owner of guest house, was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. It was also nice to have coffe, tea, milk, extra water bottles, kit-kat and chips for free in the kitchen. The bathroom was quite small but clean and had everything you need as soap, schampoo, body lotion and more. Check-out was at 12 the day we were going home, but when we asked for later check-out due to late plane in the evening that was not a problem, which we really appreciated.
