Reception staff were very pleasant. However, toilet seat in room was badly stained & should be replaced & carpet needed to be vacuumed. The lift was also broken. But bar food was very good - so an ok stay but small changes could make a big difference.

Nice hotel
A very nice hotel in a quiet area. My only complaints were that the double bed was very small and the shower was very low and myself and my wife had to stoop to have a shower.

Disappointing
Not very nice. Room very very small. On first floor but a long way from the lift and the whole hotel was very dated does not look like it has been updated since the days it was an army officers club.

It has been a tough time for the hotel industry but there is no hiding that this property is tired. Minimal staff doing multiple roles and stretched too thinly. On evening meal on offer was bar menu and they lost the itemised bill for this so we had to pay blind at checkout. Public areas were not being kept clean and touch surfaces in both room and public areas were not cleaned at all during our stay. Bathroom fittings that were held together with tank tape and a room door that needed a shoulder to shut it. All in all, a very poor experience.

A number of issues were raised with the reception regarding windows, bathroom and doors which leade tone concerned that maintenance and cleaning were not being thoroughly done. In fairness to the hotel they offer to move us on the 2nd but as we had arrive late back from an event we decided to remain in the room until check out next morning

Pricey for what it is
This hotel is too big for the level of upkeep it’s staff are able to give and it shows. Everything about the place feels very tired including the staffing levels. There were no evening meals available, dirty cups left in my room from a previous guest, the television was not tuned to any channels…..but the power shower was good. This was my effort to support an independent operator over a chain. Sadly, I won’t do it again.

Faulty Towers
Potters International Hotel = Faulty Towers. Middle of no where, Pool shut, Couldn't use water in room because of a leak, No air con, no one could help just getting palmed off. Promised to get back to me and no one did. How they have the neck to show the pool when it hasn't been open for months. It is a con and a sham. I feel like I've been ripped off in a scam. Room looked out onto bins and a road that was used as a race track for car boys.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! Potters International has been in the same position since opening 15 years ago and yes we are remote if you wanted a central location. As Hotel we do not have nor do we advertise Air Conditioning. Our pool has remained closed due to maintenance issues. If you were not happy with your room allocation this could have been resolved with a simple trip to reception.

Big comfy bed
The curtains were hanging off their hooks and the pelmet is smaller than the curtain rail..so that was an interesting look. Had to clamber up and rehang so I could fully draw the curtains...nevertheless a huge and VERY comfortable bed. Room service turned up with a breakfast I hadn't ordered--which was surprising as there were only a couple of other guests in the hotel, so a very small scope for error and yet.... All staff very pleasant and an inexpensive good nights sleep.

Bit like the Shining!
Very, very quiet, one of only two or three guests in total. Chef had to be called in to make an evening meal for me. Felt very awkward sat in bar on my own eating. Dated hotel, but clean and tidy. One member of staff on duty, helpful and polite.

Suitable and clean but a bit tired
All areas are clean and tidy, bar had reasonable food, location is close to airport and there was a dated but well equipped gym. Overall it is a good hotel, but lack of local ammenities within walking distance is a negative. Areas like bathrooms, lifts and lobby, although clean, were worn out and in need of some TLC. Very good price considering the other options in the area.

Disappointing
The review was exceptional but once your there the expection was a let down, outdated deco, the carpets could do with a clean, musty aroma of the corridors, had to run the water for a good 5 minutes to get hot water, the beer was flat & the Evening menu was poor quailty for the price, had to send back but no customer service as to why! Still had to pay aswel!!

The pool has limited opening times not advertised on Expedia so I had a very disappointed 6 year old, the sign was not even on the hotel.Very run down looking, dinner expensive and not very nice and breakfast for two that we had as room service was half missing!!. Very disappointing indeed very annoyed.
