Toyoko Inn is a business hotel and that was what we expected when we arrived. Please note that when you walk out of the hotel you have to hand in your key to the lobby staff.
The staff was friendly and accommodating at the lobby - There was a slight burn smell in the halls and room (I think something to do with the disinfection during the daily cleaning) and they had a deodorant spray to get rid of the smell. The lobby staff can communicate in Japanese, English and Chinese (mandarin).
The room was small but efficient and has everything you need. Our room faced the main road and you will hear some vehicles at night (very few). It was not an issue for us.
There is complimentary breakfast between 7:00am to 9:30am, but please expect it to be simple - rice, onigiri, miso soup, eggs and meatballs. Coffee, tea and orange juice.
The hotel is close to two subway stations (of different lines), convenience stores, and local restaurants.
