氷河も見られる
氷の洞窟ツアーの集合場所から比較的近かったため、こちらに宿泊。 チェックイン時に、ホテルの裏から山側へ向かうと15分程で氷河を見られると教えていただきました。天気も良く、夕暮れ時の綺麗な景色が見られました。 施設内は清潔で建物もしっかり整備されているようでした。 自分達の部屋はレセプションのある建屋と別の離れでしたが、離れの前に車を横付けできるので大きい荷物でも楽に運び入れられました。

シャワーの出もよく全体的に清潔感のあるホテルです。この辺では小さいホテルだと共同シャワーの所が多いので専用シャワーがあるので選びましたが良かったです

南部観光の拠点に良い。
ホテルの部屋は狭め。 夕食を食べれるのは、ホテルのレストラン以外だと、道の向かい側のガソリンスタンド併設のショップ&レストランのみ。レベルは落ちるが、こちらの方がホテルレストランの半額程度。 ホテルの周りの街灯がかなり明るいので、ホテル周辺でのオーロラ観測は厳しいと思う。私達はネットでオーロラ情報がアクティブになったら、車(レンタカー)で、5分ほど走らせた路肩の広い所で待機した。 朝食ブッフェは普通。クロワッサンは美味しかった。

ホテルの裏側を少し散歩すると、巨大な氷河が幾筋も見え、素晴らしいロケーション。食事や対応も期待以上でした。

部屋は二人で荷物広げるには少し狭い 一人旅には丁度良い シャワーカーテンしていてもシャワールームが水浸しになるので 足ふきタオルはシャワールームの外に敷いた方が良い

豪華とは言えないが、必要最低限の設備はしっかり整っているので全く問題なく快適に過ごせる。氷河も近くに見えるので気分転換に周囲を散策もできる。運が良ければオーロラも見られるのでは？

We loved our stay at this hotel. Although the rooms aren’t fancy, they were clean and comfortable for the night. What made this hotel great was the staff, cute bar upstairs with happy hour and a nice view of the mountains, the delicious dinner and free breakfast and the proximity to a walking path to see the glacier and easy access to Skaftafell fans the hike to Svartifoss.

This is a three star property. It was clean and the staff was nice. However Everything is oks. The walls are thin and you hear every sound from surrounding rooms. There are limited electrical outlets. The towels were thin and very hard. It met our basic needs.

We were pleasantly surprised that we could walk to a glacier from the property in 30 minutes! One of the best events of our trip. Dinner and complementary breakfast were outstanding . Five stars for sure!

The staff were nice, but I ate something bad at the restaurant and was puking all night. Avoid the restaurant, which was also pricy.

Highly recommend
Convenient location for exploring the South Coast. Very clean, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and as described in advertisement. One desk clerk had a bit of an attitude but maybe it was just an off day for her. Wake up call offered for Northern Lights! Dinner was OK. Breakfast Buffet was good!

Excellent location for northern lights

Passende Unterkunft für Stop-over oder um den naheliegenden Gletscher und die ihn umgebende Natur zu erkunden. Frühstück ist ok, jedoch nicht außergewöhnlich. Zimmer sind klein, jedoch für den Zweck ausreichend. Leider unangenehmer Geruch im Bad, wahrscheinlich eingetrockneter Abfluss.

Is the only hotel in that zone, and it costs as a 5 star hotel, but is a 20th Century hostel with ancient rooms. Is better to stay in Hofn or Vik.

Tyypillinen hotelli. Kuvittele mielessäsi yksi hotellihuoneen arkkityyppi, niin tiedät millaista odottaa, hyvässä ja pahassa. Ympäristö on tosi kaunis. Hotellin oma ravintola törkeän hintainen, mutta tien toiselta puolelta huoltoasemalta saa normaalia ruokaa normaalimpaan hintaan.

The hotel was just ordinary. As lot of other reviewers mentioned, the only advantage of this hotel is its location. Its just 20mins walk away from one of the tails of Vatnajokull glacier - Svínafellsjökull Glacier. Apart from location, this hotel is more like a motel which is in dire need of renovation. Rooms are small and old and beds are very low height. There are generally no views from the room and the radiator is not effective enough. Staff were just ok.

Really nice Hotel. All staff was kind and always helpful. Checkin was quick and they got everything ready when we arrived. The hotel must have been renovated lately as all looked very new and in good shape. You have a great view from your room and can see part of the Glacier. The location is great as you have many nice spots to visit in the surrounding. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly.

Fabulous hotel with a glacier behind it
Very well located hotel, right off the Ring Road. They ask you if you want a wake up call if the northern lights are showing. The person at the front desk called us twice and we saw the best northern lights of our vacation. There is a trail behind the hotel which leads to a glacier and small lagoon. The included breakfast was delicious! One of my favorite hotels during our Iceland trip.

Our overall stay was pretty good, however, our room had a very strong mold odor. We kept the window open to help, but it was pretty bad. We informed the wonderful and friendly desk attendant. Breakfast was included, and was good with lots to chose from. I would stay here again.

Nice restaurant
Very friendly and helpful staff. Dining room offers wonderful dinner. We stayed 12 nights total in iceland; each at different hotel; few offered full meals for dinner. Rooms are small but beds were comfortable.

Very good location when touring the Ring Road. Good breakfast buffet and plenty of tables to sit down and eat. Northern Lights call available, just ask the front desk. Showers were quite small and the rooms were serviceable. For the price, I don't think we would stay here again.

This property was conveniently located near the glaciers where we had booked a glacier walk (a short drive). We also discovered, on a walk behind the property, beautiful views of glaciers and icebergs, without the crowds!! Accommodation clean and adequate. Complimentary breakfast had lots of choice. We chose not to eat at the property but ate at the roadhouse opposite... a very short walk.

Nice Hotel with a good shower
We enjoyed our stay. We were a little worried about the shower, but it ended up being the best shower of our trip, and it didn't smell like sulfer. I think the only thing we were missing was a wash cloth.
