Check-in was smooth and our room was clean. We were informed at checkin that the hotel had experienced a 4-hour power outage earlier in the day. I gave it a few hours and attempted to run the shower and was unsuccessful in getting hot water. I called the front desk and they instructed me to let it run for 5-10 minutes. We recieved a letter in the morning informing us that hot water will not be available. I called the front desk to see if any accomodations were available given the circumstance, such as a small amount of hot water from the kitchen so that our family could take a sponge bath. The staff ingormed me that this was not possible. Clearly, this was beyond the control of the staff. However, their lack of any attempt to make it right left me with some bitterness.

I know the power outage was out of the control of the property, but offering some sort of discounts or points or something would have been nice for the money paid to stay here. Having to take an ice cold shower was difficult.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Made impromptu reservations Saturday afternoon for a Saturday night stay specifically to take my 5 year old swimming in an indoor pool as a special treat. We had stayed previously and she enjoyed swimming. When we arrived to check in we were told the pool was closed unexpectedly. I told the Danny the front desk supervisor that the only reason we were staying was to swim and we would like a refund as my 5 year old would be very disappointed. She said she was not interested in providing a refund and it was my responsibility to do research in advance to see if the pool would be open before booking. I told her I booked on Expedia and I saw nothing about the pool being closed. She said too bad, I should have gone to their website and done research and it was not their problem and she would do nothing to accommodate my inconvenience as it was not her issue. We left and stayed across the street at Hyatt Regency where we received exceptional customer service and a complimentary upgrade to a nicer room with a view and soaking tub as the front desk person was appalled by how we had been treated at Hampton Inn and wanted to try to make up for it for my 5 year old. Will never patronize this a Hampton Inn again. Would expect more from a hospitality company. Hampton you need to do some training with your staff around exceptions in situations like this to retain customers in the long term.

It is indeed listed as closed on the Expedia website due to reasons outside of our control, and we always encourage travelers to book directly through our hotel website or call the hotel directly for the most accurate information, as that is the only website we have full control over and we will always provide the most up to date information for any questions our guests may have. There is a little confusion from your comments as well, as Danny is our hotel AGM and was not at the hotel the day you arrived. Our front desk supervisor is Theo, who is a male, but you had specified interacting with a female supervisor. Once again, we appreciate your concerns and hope your future travels will provide a more rewarding experience.

This is the second best hotel I've ever stayed at. Very clean, large room with parking under the building. Plenty of counter and table space. Comfortable bedding.

Only stayed for one quick night and left before checkout. We had an accessible double queen. The room was huge so perfect if someone had a wheelchair although we did not. We checked in late and although front desk person was very professional and helpful. Only complaint about the room is there was a fan in the bathroom that could not be turned off. If wasn't a problem but the sound was very noticeable. We slept well and the buffet breakfast was good with lots of warm and cold options.

Unimpressed.
Noisy outside traffic, no shower gel in the dispenser and the bed creaked. They now charge for parking which they didn’t a few months ago. We will look for other options next time.

Family overnight stay
The person at the front desk was very courteous and informative. The room is comfortable and had an extra blanket that we ended up needing. Everything is very clean. There is a $13 garage fee for parking that we didn’t know about, but seems reasonable.

Great place to stay!
We always stay at the Hampton Inn on Lake Washington Blvd in Renton whenever we visit. Really fabulous staff! Nice, clean hotel. Free breakfast is definitely above average as far as “free breakfasts” go.

Disappeared in Hotels.com
Didn’t even get to enjoy my stay because of hotels.com. The hotel that I booked could not find my reservation over the phone and I could not find one email from hotels.com to get the confirmation number. It wasn’t until I realized hotels.com emailed me in the afternoon on Friday before my check in on Saturday but unfortunately I was planning a holiday party and I did not see that email so I missed the opportunity to spend the night in the hotel. I did (after seeing that message early Sunday morning after my work party I planned seeing the pre—check in email from hotels.com) go down to the hotel early in the morning on the next day, Sunday so I couldn’t at least enjoy the breakfast and then I checked into the hotel so I could park. I was able to take quick nap in the room that I was supposed to have all night. Needless to say, I don’t think I will book on hotels.com anymore because it should not have been hard to find my confirmation email from Hotels.com and because I couldn’t find it, I missed the fullness of booking my hotel stay.
