I like the proximity to the major freeway interchange of 680 and 17, be able to walk to Valley Fair Mall/Santana Row if I chose to (and I did), and being across the street from Falafel’s Drive-in (had gone there for years when in college, decades before it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!) The place is clean and modern and fancy. What I didn’t like was that someone took the valet cart and I had to make multiple trips to/from my car on the bottom floor while my room was on the 2nd floor. There is a virtual front desk clerk, someone who is a real person but who is on camera to help check you in. This is the trend and while it was fine overall, I know that it may pose a challenge for those who want the personal touch of interacting with someone on site. There is nothing to look at but a neighbor’s junky yard if you have the rooms facing the rear; the rooms facing the front get street traffic noise, so seeing someone’s yard is best.

The common areas were updated and clean. Check in was easy and fast. It’s a very short ride to a lot of things and there is a fantastic taco place across the street. The virtual staff member and overnight concierge guy were very pleasant and helpful. The room needed a lot of small things that wouldn’t take long, but were just half way done. The shower barely worked and seemed like it was more likely to shock me than spray water. When it did spray, it was scalding or freezing. There was a lot of painted over mold spots and the jetted tub clearly doesn’t get cleaned well. The toilet paper holder wasn’t installed well so the roll fell off every time into the rubbish bin. I asked the virtual concierge how much the waters in the room were and she said free. But I have a charge on my card and that’s the only thing we consumed. The road is VERY loud and kept us awake all night. You’d need ear plugs to sleep here. There were a lot of options at breakfast. Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, cereal, bagels w cream cheese, muffins, yogurt, fruit and oatmeal too I think. Juices, teas and coffee were plentiful.

Nice hotel a short walk or Uber to Santana Row and Winchester House. Nice hitech amenities like keyless entry and virtual check in. Only criticism would be the room could use a luggage rack or someplace other than the floor to place suitcases. Otherwise, it's nicely decorated and very convenient.

Breakfast was okay. Check in was smooth. The only comment is that the hallways, dining area, and bedroom has a really really strong cleaning product smell. That's the most off-putting thing. Other than that, to everything else was fine.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at The Row Hotel, BW Signature Collection. My experience was so disappointing that I feel compelled to bring it to your attention in hopes of improving future guest experiences. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was shocked to find that there was no staff present. Not only was there a lack of staff, but the security of the hotel was severely compromised. Multiple DoorDash employees were freely wandering around the premises, indicating a serious breach in security. It was concerning to witness anyone being able to access the hotel without proper authorization or verification. Moreover, the virtual check-in kiosk, which appeared to be the only means of checking in, was not functioning properly. I was not provided with a code or any instructions on how to proceed with the check-in process. When I attempted to seek assistance from other guests, I discovered that they had managed to enter the hotel using the kiosk before it became inoperable. The lack of responsiveness and accountability from the hotel management further exacerbated the situation. Despite multiple attempts to contact the hotel for assistance, I was met with utter disregard and indifference. The owner’s dishonesty in claiming that I had left the premises, coupled with his refusal to provide a refund, only added to my frustration and dissatisfaction. Fortunately, after escalating the issue with Expedia, I was able to secure a refund.

Unfortunately it took to long to check in, the hotel was nice and could tell it was recently remodeled but there was no service in sight and the amount and type of people who where staying there made it feel like it was a Hoer hotel unfortunately I did poor by not looking around but it was the closest to our destination we did not stay the night we just checked in and where very uncomfortable and bothered from all the noise outside and of the people walking by walls are to thin. I hope i can get a refund since I did not stay.

Check-in is from a big computer/tablet. The person was hard to understand and hard to hear...and it took much longer because of it. While the hotel is nice looking and clean, there was NO HOT WATER when we tried to shower. The computer-person in the lobby said to turn it on and wait. Apparently there is a 30 minute wait for hot water in the mornings. PLAN TO WAKE UP EXTRA EARLY!

We arrived after a 2 hour drive around 7. Both my kids were in need to go to the bathroom and they have a kiosks to check in. It would not connect us to anyone for 20 minutes and there was nobody on site to assist. My kids were trying to hold it as much as they could. Finally someone appeared and helped, but definitely not the best first impression

It's a little strange not to have a live person at the front desk. You talk to the 'front desk' staff on the computer screen. They're very kind but I wish they were live in person. The hotel is good - better than the Larkspur Landing where I stayed before. There was natural light coming into the room. There were some quirky things but I would stay again. The duvet on the bed was really thin and no additional blankets in the room. Breakfast was just bread and cereal stuff so I couldn't have it being gluten free.
