Hotel is well-sited for Metrolink & various eateries nearby. Room was basic but clean & large enough. The only downside was the extreme noise from within the hotel with thin walls allowing audible chatter at 2am.

It is a 3 bed bedroom. Nice. Clean beds and toilet. Beds are little bit hard but ok. Well equipped. Budgetary hotel but its condition is not bad/cheap. Well managed. My daughters feel it is a good choice.

Shabby but not too bad

Thin walls, shower room was not the cleanest and smelt of damp, basement room. Bedding was clean but tired and there was a strange smell from the mattress. Aside from that, stay was ok to put your head down

Not impressed at all

Hotel was in need of a renovation and good redecoration. Also needed a good clean in the rooms. Saw receptionist when arrived and never saw anyone on desk again. On arrival receptionist was not very communicative or helpful. Basically here is key and there is your room.

Awful - book a Travelodge instead

Awful place. The plus sides. The bedding was clean and so was the bathroom. Everything else was awful. My room smelled damp. Outside the room smelled damp. The whole place is tired and needs an overhall. The "garden" and car park need tidying and weeding. The TV control needs to be either really cleaned or just thrown away and a new one. Awful nights sleep. I travelled from Glasgow and was shattered yet couldn't sleep. Was awake until way after midnight as all I could hear were the others guests shouting and doors banging about. Left at 3am. Outside needs a good paint and the windows need replacing. Looks very uninviting and absolutely not worth the money. Would be better staying in a Travelodge.

Booked with breakfast included to be told we hadn't. On arrival staff eating lunch behind desk, not good impression. Didn't feel a welcoming response more they doing us a favour. Bedroom and bathroom could do with a much more though deep clean as very dusty and dirty. Bed was clean but on pulling guilt over myself I dread to think what it was like inside as just felt like lumps. Only really good thing in room was soap as in a sealed package and smelt lovely. I know this is a old place but could hear every noise of people above walking around at night. Carpet in bedroom very dirty felt as I needed to keep shoes on. Was glad to leave in morning never said anything after unwelcoming arrival seemed no point. Before booking checked reviews as do with everything and seemed very good so very disappointed. We would of paid extra for breakfast if place had been up to standard

Nightmare!

When I walked in the room was freezing cold! Then I realised how dirty it was around. The only clean thing in my room was the bedding (thank god). Then in the morning there was no hot water, showered in cold instead. The same thing happened for the next 4 mornings. When I spoke to reception about it, I was told to get up at least 2hrs earlier if I wanted to have some hot water. 3 days in, and my room still hasn’t been cleaned. When I went to reception I was told I need to ask for cleaning because of new rules they’ve implemented. But the worse thing is, every single morning I woke up with bites around my body, at first I thought I was allergic to something, but on my last night I found lots of tiny spiders in my bed. When I pulled out the bed there were hundreds of them! I will never stay in this hotel again!

Not bad good value

Hotel is dated and a bit tired but not to the extent of some of the reviews. We had a very comfortable stay and the staff were very friendly. They went out of their way to help. Very reasonable prices!

The hotel called us the night before we were due to arrive to say they had double booked. They offered to put us in their sister hotel Normanhurst hotel,Sale. This hotel was absolutely dreadful and the place should be condemned. We can not comment on original booked hotel as we never got to see it. Whilst the staff were very apologetic we would not of accepted their alternative hotel if we had know the terrible state of the building and rooms. We are absolutely disgusted.
