In any other place, I would have given this 4 stars. However, given the shortage of reasonably-priced, top-notch hotels around the lake, my 5-star rating reflects what was available for Taiwan. The room was very nice, and the hotel was close to the bus station and to the start of the trails around the lake. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and made our entire stay around Sun Moon Lake a great experience. Any issues we experienced, such as a slow elevator, narrow stairs, too few electrical outlets, etc., were very minor, and are to be expected throughout Taiwan. One thing remember: Take your key when you go out. Without it, you won't be able to get back into the hotel after 9:00 as the staff are off. Ask the staff about the local restaurant serving local mountain vegetable-based dishes. You won't regret it.

The view in the morning was definitely a bonus, it was pretty clean however everything offered was pretty bare minimum, the couch in our room was more like a dog bed haha.. for a one night only stay tho- does the job

The hotel owner was not helpful at all. We have several huge heavy bags and she refused to help us to carry the bags down to our floor. We have to take the lift down and climb a few flight of stairs. The bed was rock hard and lastly we asked to borrow a few clothes hanger and the owner almost argued with me! Very ridiculous!

the owner was very friendly. Breakfast is the usual porridge and breads. Coffee and water dispensary is available 24hours and nearby. morning view is great for sunrise. location is within walking to 7-11 and family mart.

The room (facilities, bed, etc) was comfortable and the location is convenient as well. A quick walk to local eateries and convenience store nearby. However, if you happen to visit during winter, bear in mind that there is only a electric bed warmer and no other heating facilities. The room thus gets very cold at night. Further, on my second night, the cold water tank out back had frozen so we did not have any cold water (thus, making it impossible to shower). Otherwise, everything else went pretty well!

Poor sanitation

All of us got bitten by bed bugs. Our legs and arms have pink bites, turned red and swollen. The bathmat was soiled with blood stains

The staff there are really considerate as he helped us move our room to a floor where it doesn't requires us to get exposed to the rain (it was pouring at the time on the day we arrived). The property has a unique interior design and the view there is quite amazing.

They don’t have elevators so we have to move our luggage up stairs and down stairs with no help from them. This place have just basic equipment and didn’t fell like comfortable. I won’t recommend this place.

Good location near apple orchard bus stop and at the main road. Very nice view of mountain. Stayed in quad room facing mountain. Room is exactly like the picture. Walking distance to qingjing farm. From the farm we slowly toured down to carton king and swiss garden using 466 step trail. Took a nantou bus back to minsu. Last bus at 545 pm at the bus stop at swiss garden.

The location of hotel is a bit far from shops but it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a lift to a certain level only but not to your room level so it is not convenient for traveller with big luggages. The room was big and clean.

房間整潔有個很小露台，風景不錯可見茶園和山景，可看日出但可惜大霧看不到! 設備整全電器設備意想不到,有加熱床墊、風扇、抽濕機....等。 餐廳有露台可邊吃早餐邊欣賞風景但早餐選擇不多。 地點不錯附近還有餐廳和便利商店，步行約8分鐘就能到清境農場，非常方便。
