Small but very cozy room in an interesting concept hotel. Nice neighborhood close to everything in Porto. Staff was friendly too. Would definitely stay there again!

The property was very unique in its appearance. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful. The young waitress helped me select a few appetizer for my sick partner and then gave me 2 bags, one with plates and cutlery, the other with food, just awesome and kind. The young lady for breakfast on Sunday morning when I asked for pineapple put together 2 small glass containers for us. The service was impeccable. We wanted to have a different experience with the boxed room and perhaps next time we will better know what to expect but all in all a very different and out of the box experience, pardon the pun Patricia Hay

Super unique property - but literally had everything I needed. Very convenient for walking around Porto, rooms were small (as advertised) but beds were soft and you had everything provided that you could need. I know some people mentioned the lack of windows could be a problem - but I never didn't even notice. Good lighting, beer on arrival, and bathroom was great. A couple of notes... 1. Luggage storage is available on every floor with lockers that you put a 1 euro coin into operate. You get your money back at the end of the day! Super convenient. 2. Sign out front is a bit hard to see - google maps is correct though so just check the three doors (restaurant next door) depending on what time of day you arrive. My favourite hotel on my 3 week trip through Portugal and the Czech Republic!

We loved staying at the Zero Box! It had everything we needed for our one night stay. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. While the room is only for sleeping, the rest of the hotel has a fun vibe. There is a comfortable lounge and restaurant and a sauna and library area. We would love to come back and stay there again.

No phone in the room in case you need to call the reception. Even in case of an emergency, if you need help. Bathroom did not have windows, all the noise from outside was inside. There was no hot water to shower.

Interesting art project with the bear minimum of bed and bathroom in a very small space. No tv or closest, just look at pictures and know what you are booking.

The facility is in excellent condition. The hotel location is unbeatable, close to the major points of interest. The Bar at the lobby was very good and the Carnicero restaurant excellent.

Great hotel, great location-We would return
This hotel was as quirky as it looks and more. We stayed in a non window room and it was totally fine. Great air con, big bathroom, comfy bed and excellent shower. The bedroom isn’t big but it’s fine. No hanging space but large shelf above the bed that we used. No issue with noise and slept well. Beer on arrival and showed to our room. The bar was great and breakfast was good. Breads, croissants, eggs, meats,cheese,fruit,yogurt,juice and coffee machine. Location wise is excellent. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Metro from the airport stops at Trindade is 10 mins walk away. Our only negative is that there is nowhere in the room to keep drinks cool. We would absolutely return to this hotel and recommend it.

Stayed 8 nights - seven in windowless box and one night with a window. Loved the windowless and sleeping in without morning light waking me early. Staff was great and made sure my new room was ready early on the one day where I changed rooms. Great location in the Balhao neighborhood near the market, metro, shopping and restaurants.

Great location, roof terrace & plunge pools a huge bonus. Staff were lovely, incredibly helpful with any questions we had, and suggestions for walking routes, places to eat etc.

Quirky hotel in a great location.
Best thing about the hotel is the location. The continental breakfast is fresh & plentiful & was finished with a coffee on the lovely rooftop terrace. Staff were friendly. Nice big bathroom but a bit strange having no windows but you do get used to it. Nice downstairs bar for a drink before you hit town. My only small gripe would be a lack of storage or hangers for your clothes. Oh … & Porto is ace.

My pod was on the first floor. I had an early Sunday morning train to Coimbra. On Saturday morning the room started vibrating. I wondered what is that noise and vibrating. I found out there is a bar on the first floor and you won’t be able to sleep the nights it is active. I’m low maintenance and I don’t need much. When I visit a city I’m only in my room to sleep, shower, and maybe unwind for an hour. If it fits convenience, safety, and relatively clean I leave a good review or none at all. Travelers should be aware of this that unless you intend to party all the time this is not the right hotel for you. Also, you get what you see in picture. No chair, no cups, no table, no anything, which is fine and that was what I was expecting, but the bar warranted this critical review. Also, the room was not clean when I arrived with stray hairs all over the room.
