Very nice property, breakfast was terrific and staff is very accommodating. They arranged out taxi from the airport and recommended a private Douro valley tour . Helena was very helpful in guiding and arranging Douro valley tour. Overall 10/10.

The building is lovely. We were shocked to find the property had not been cleaned. There were sexual toys left behind from the previous occupancy. When reported this to the manager, he blamed the third-party cleaning company. Unbelievable!

All is good
Property was perfectly located. Breakfast was plentiful. And tasty. Staff was very responsive. perfect combination of good taste and comfort. Only difficulty was recognizing the door to enter, and where to check in.

Great location
We stayed in an apartment with a terrace and views of the river and street below. The room was very spacious and clean, it had a kitchen and sitting area. The apartments are located in the historic district, check in was easy at the hotel across the street. It is a great location with easy walking distance to everything in Porto.

The Arc apartment should NOT be rated a 4-star, I’d say it should be closer to a 2-star accommodation. Firstly the strong bleach smell in the main entrance and the apartment is a major turn off. And the bathroom (in the apartment) reminds me of a dirty public bathroom. I had to keep my shoes on at all time since the bathroom floor seemed dirty. And, what is up with the yucky red carpet in the bedroom? Very unattractive and dirty. I have to say, I did not enjoy staying here at all and would not recommend. The only good thing about the Arc was the free breakfast. The breakfast was ok.

Checkin instructions took us to a location 20 minutes from the actual checkin location. Contact phone number didn't work. Parking is not close, and is ridiculously expensive. Foul odour inside our apartment.

Location could not be better
This place is great! So nice to have space for everyone to sleep and spread out. You could not get a better location - walk out the door and you are in the heart of the action. Check in at hotel across the road was easy. Recommend the massage at WeDo Massage in the hotel - 100 Euro for 1 hour body and 1 hour foot massage. We had Penthouse Panoramic 2 Bedroom and Wi-Fi didn’t work for us either but we were on holiday so just used hotspots. Only recommendation is to put additional TVs in by the beds. Great stay!

We rented the penthouse and it was even more beautiful in person than in photos! Great layout and very clean. Perfect location in Porto. It’s very hard to find, so message the hotel before you arrive for check in instructions.

The property and room itself were great and in a great location. The rest was not great… They told me in the reservation confirmation you HAVE to contact them 72 hours in advance, and then did not respond to 6 emails over 5 days (still haven’t 2 weeks later). Definitely make you feel second class compared to the main hotel, unfriendly staff.

wifi is essentially not usable
+ It is located near the waterfront which makes it a perfect tourist spot for hikes on the riverbank + Apartment looks really nice. + The kitchen is well equipped and thought through. + big safe that can easily hold two 13 inch laptops and some more stuff. When we checked in we realized that the safe doesn't work. After about 30 min maintenance staff diagnosed the problem, removed the faulty safe and installed a new one that worked properly. - wifi is horrible. it works irregularly, with connection going and stopping all the time. Sometimes even checking your email is impossible. If you need stable connection for anything you’re going be frustrated -Bathroom is spacious and looks pretty but the water pressure is low in the shower and it floods the floor. It’s also impossible to use the sink without splashing everything with water. And the light is rather dim which makes it hard to shave - In the kitchen some salt and pepper would be nice. - There is a dish drainer but nothing to wash the dishes by hand. There is a dishwasher and you get one tablet for it but it’s not refilled by housekeeping. (Housekeeping puts any dirty dishes they can find in the dishwasher and turn it on - using their own tablets so there's that)

The apartment was clean and very secure. We had minor issues but the maintenance guys were there in an instant to make the adjustments. Only complaint is our apartment had a odour in the bathroom. It is probably because there is no pea trap on the sink and smelled

Great location. It was managed by Caris Hotel across the street. Check in instruction said to reach out before check in but was unnecessary. Front office was very nice and helpful. We had the corner apartment and it was great to have views of the street on two sides. It was weird though that power in that unit goes off at 7am. On our first day we had to call from our cellphone because the unit phone was not in order with the power out, front office offered to send a maintenance person, but my husband managed to flip the breaker switch which turned the light back on. Happened every day we were there. Not big of a deal. since we figured it out but it was weird. Other than that, the unit was really nice and clean, has most that you need but w/d. It was like a hotel suite with no pre-checkout chores like all other VRBOs!
