Great place
Lovely property and location, good communication, would love to stay there again in summer :) Had a checkout list of what to do which was straightforward. Would maybe love to have some restaurant recommendations and a map in the compendium for next time. Will stay again as the location is absolutely amazing, estuary outlook on one side, beach a two minute walk away.

Parapara Paradise!
An awesome stay in a really well set up property that had everything required for a comfortable break. The property was clean and tidy, on a back section and with a private outlook. The owner was flexible about check in time and readily available to commumicate via email. Parapara is such a lovely Golden Bay location and this property worked really well for us.

Staying at Aloha at Papapara Beach
What an amazing site and a such a beautiful spot. If you are looking for a peaceful spot to get away to, enjoy wide, long, sandy sparsely populated beaches and a very comfortable place to stay then this is the spot for you! The night sky is unbelievable with the Milky Way right overhead and crystal clear. We can thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.

Quiet slice of Paradise

Excellent location for our planned tour to Farewell Spit
Unfortunately the wind was huge so everything clattered and banged - even with windows closed - hard to sleep against. Unavoidable in wild weather. Beautiful bush outlook Covers for the duvets would have been more hygienic. Bed comfortable. Couldn't find any instructions for TV in bedroom - on or off sky. Overall worked well for us thankyou.

Paradise in Parapara

Great hosts and great accommodation.
Not too far from Tākaka, central to most activities, we had a pet dog that stays home with no problems while we work but he didn’t like staying behind when we left him in the pet run as Russ our host suggested it was likely because it was an unfamiliar place.. Russ took him home and put him in a run with his dog where he settled and also offered to take him on future days which was very good of him, we decided to take him on the boat going forward, a new experience for all. I would stay here again and recommend this home without hesitation.

Perfect posie at Parapara
This property is a beautiful, clean, modern oasis and we got to take our pampered dog. Great for family’s or just a quite hideaway. Thankyou for sharing your place with us. Will do it again.

Modern spacious sanctuary
Absolutely delightful place to stay. Comfy, modern, warm, well appointed. 5 star location for privacy & views. So close to beach too. We needed a sanctuary for my partner (on chemo) and a sanctuary this is. Thank you so much Shona (&Russ)

Very pleasant.
Well appointed, comfortable and private. Only downside was our 78 year old friend who is 6ft 2" had to sleep in bunk as bigger bed unavailable. Specified 3 x adults were staying. Otherwise had a great stay, would recommend.

Great getaway
Awesome place. Despite the weather being otherwise , the house is set up beautifully with everything needed for a restful, happy holiday. Stocked with books and DVDs for the bad weather, a heatpump kept us warm and so many local things to do we ran out of time. Lovely beach closeby. This was a lovely mini-break for us and our 4 footed friend. Kevin

The house was in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the beach! The house had great facilities and all you could want in a home away from home. Great cooking facilities and a well equiped kitchen. The view was also beautiful from the deck.

Our 2nd stay.
Again as we remembered it, very easy property to rent. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, just a little bit more storage for clothes maybe. Our friend from the UK missed not having WiFi as she was using the ‘Polar Steps’ App to document her NZ visit using a map. The overall stay for two nights for the three of us was very nice and comfortable. But my wife and I had to share a bath towel as there was a misunderstanding on how many people were booked and there were no other bath towels in the wardrobe as stated on the documents in the house. No drama though.

Well situated in a quiet back section facing the estuary. The house was clean and well stocked with the necessary linen and kitchen items (so you can easily cook a meal from scratch) Great wee run outside for the dog

Awesome spot close to beach and house great with all you could need. Well thought out. Warm. Online didn’t say check in time, turned up at 11am and guy who greeted us pretty rude which was a shame, apart from that great time.

Lovely!
This place was perfect for our family of 5. It’s in a beautiful and peaceful location close enough to all the sites. It had all the basics a family would need, and we felt very comfortable. Kids loved the bunk beds, and mom and Dad loved the private room with its own fridge and tv. It’s a dog friendly place but we couldn't see or smell any evidence of doggie damage and our dog loved it. We’d love to stay here again.

Well equipped house for a quiet and secluded time
We loved the house's layout with the long deck and views to nature, particularly from the outdoor room, where you easily can enjoy dinner sheltered from wind or rain. Very good bathrooms and kitchen equipment, and being a back section house, no one disturbs your privacy. We'll love to come back.

Lovely stay at a wonderful beach . The house good but we could smell old dogs . I think it’s the vacuum cleaner. Bed side lamp on the wall would be good in the bunk bed room . Would have preferred if the fridge was up and running when we arrived . Otherwise great .

Great stay
Lovely well appointed house and location was good - beach walking distance. Only drawback was we mistakenly assumed there were multiple double bedrooms based on the photos when in reality there was one main queen bed. The other beds were 4x children’s bunk beds and a fold down bed in the living room. We managed okay with this but worth noting if you have a larger group who might not be suited to this arrangement. All in all a great stay though.

We're pleased you enjoyed our part of the bay. Yes, there is a king size bedroom (bed) with ensuite & tea/coffee making facilities. The pull down in the living is a comfortable queen size bed & the 4 bunks in the other bedroom are weight rated for adults as we often have 8 adult guests. We hope you all were nice & comfy despite Aloha having 2 bedrooms plus the living room queen pull down. Regards Shona

Wonderful Place
We just had a weekend here and was super happy to have found such a wonderful place! Being able to bring our girl Hazel (labradoodle) with us makes this a special place to find. Very clean and comfortable with everything supplied. Nice and quiet with the bush estuary right in front made it feel really peaceful. Highly recommend.

Dogs loved their Stay
Me and my two small bichons loved our stay. The property is right next to the beach, and is fully equipped with everything you need. Its only 15minutes to Takaka and Sunrise and Sunset are amazing. Dogs had a huge gated yard to run around in. We will definately stay here again! Thanks

A lovely picturesque spot, with native birds and friendly wekas. I recommend this property very much, it's a close walk to the beach, and the bach is clean and warm.
