チェックインの際、部屋の場所が聞き取れなかったのですが、窓口の方が一緒に部屋まで案内してくれました。数名受付にいましたのでたまたま親切な方に会えて助かりました。

朝食付きは薦めない

部屋は狭いが機能的で清潔、窓が大きく明るく海も臨めた。エアコンもあり快適に過せた。観光の中心の案内所に徒歩五分と近く、レストランも最寄り。レセプションでは新人のスタッフのため朝食付きの宿泊プランにも拘らず上手く伝わっておらず、手続きがてこずった。彼女はホテルのセイフティーボックスの在処も知らなかった。朝食は、いわゆる洋食バイキングだが種類も少なく味も今一歩で、お薦めしない。

町のメインに近くて便利

町のメインに近いので観光、買い物と便利でした。ほとんどの部屋が海に向かって縦に平行して建っているので、部屋からのロケーションは全然だめでした。従業員がとても親切でした。英語がダメな私たちにも、一生懸命対応してくれました。

新しく、部屋も清潔。設備もほぼすべて整ってます。フロントも親切。残念なのは、ホテルのグレードに似つかわしくない簡素なベッド。

Dear guest, thank you for your feedback. We have two access points for the restaurant; one by the main entrance and one by the 300 block rooms. We only ever block one entrance when a private function is happening and this is sign posted. We are not aware of any point where both have been blocked off. could you please provide us with some more details so that we may investigate this?

The Swimming pool temperature was very cold, kids could not swim. Solar heating for pool means max temp is 27deg cel, but water felt way colder. Wifi internet was very slow and un-usable. switched to mobile data and was much faster, i was told they have fibre but issue raised with provider. carpets looked dated and needs replacing.

This was by far the most comfortable bed we slept in during our time in New Zealand. Our room was large and cozy. I liked that the sink, toilet, and shower were all in separate spaces - making it easy for us to share the space. The hotel is in a great location - the pier being a 4 min walk from our room. The sunrise views were incredible. Felt like this was a great choice for comfort, location and value. Would stay here again no problem.

It was very noisy - cars parked outside the apartments so car doors slamming/ engines running early/late. Worse than that was the sound of coaches parked right outside your room with their engines running and filling your room with fumes. It was unfortunate as the room was convenient and very clean.

Excellent waterfront hotel in Paihia

Great location on the waterfront with walking access to restaurants and tour operators. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and above all clean. There is good parking availability and the staff is very helpful in making sure you are comfortable and enjoying the local sights.

Stayed in 408. Corner suite with views to die for. Outdoor furniture very tired but everything you need for any length of stay was provided. Had a number of unwanted visitors in the form of some kind of small black crickets on the last night, probably brought on by the rain that day. Other than that would definitely recommend. Easy 2 minute walk to Paihia shops and bars.

Walking distance to town so lots of options for meals. There are plenty of off street parking. Pool was a hit! Air con was a godsend. Comfortable beds. Separate toilet and bathroom was great.

I have stayed at the Kingsgate Hotel four times and it is excellent value for money on the waterfront. The rooms are clean and tidy, parking outside your room and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Highly recommended.
