Umeda OS Hotel
Location was very convenient as less than 10 min walk to major malls and 5 min away from food alley. What is great is that amenities are self service and guests take only what is needed to cut down waste.

Excellent location nearby Umeda station & JR Osaka station. However, this hotel should consider a renovation. At least upgrade to card reading locks instead of handing out a chain of keys

Everything was ok just two negative points: the lobby was very small, incontinent, and no wifi in the lobby. Also, the rooms are very small.

The room was the smallest we have ever stayed in, only one foot between the beds and the other side of each bed was up against the wall, only one foot at the end of the bed then the wall. Hotels.com should physically see the rooms before putting them on their site as the picture that was on the site did not match the room.

amazing place to stay.. Rooms are of good Size.. Good Location which is walk-able from osaka station. Good Staff. helped a lot.. not every staff knows english. but they still help you.. I had an app to translate and they had one to help.. so it was not difficult.

Not great tbh, a pretty dated hotel. There’s definitely not enough sound proofing as noise from other guests both from the rooms and the corridor was loud. The breakfast is awful, do not pay for this!

Decent hotel but great location
I think this hotel is great with limited budget. Typical small Japanese hotel room though so need to manage expectations. Very clean and amenities are superb from water boiler to sandals to shavers to toothbrushes to cotton buds to hairdryer etc etc. Toilet is relatively big compared to the bedroom. Location is key to the success of this hotel. Behind the hotel, it has a lot of restaurants and clubs, and unground is connected to Osaka station which has all the lines or subways you need to take to go anyway. A little complicated to get to underground, just need to head towards Higashi-Umeda subway, Tanimachi Line, exit 7. If you have to lug big luggages, better to go on ground level and cross a few traffic lights, you are there with less human traffic and no steps to climb down. Would definitely stay here again if I come to Osaka again.

Staff is nice and helpful. Location is okay, still need to take 10 mins walk from the train station. Hotel is quite old, not so clean, some stains on the quilt which is quite unacceptable.

Better options out there if you are looking for co
The hotel is close to a subway station and close to Osaka station, however finding the hotel can be quite an adventure if you go through the underground, and challenging through the streets as there are many limitations for pedestrian crossing. After finally arriving only to find out the hotel is on the second floor of the building and there is no elevator to the second floor was definitely a let down, especially for someone carry two full size luggages to go up an escalator. The staff are friendly and helpful, however the small rooms are too small for comfort. Just trying to open your luggage is a challenge itself. For the price , if you are travelling alone with a small luggage then it can work out, however anything beyond that just doesn't work as u barely have space to walk traveling as a couple with 4 luggages. Had I known about the size and no elevator to the hotel I would have spent a little more to live a bit more comfortably.

There is an office of travel agency, JTB, on the first floor of our hotel. I hope it will be your help to find the office to get to our hotel. We apologize for inconvenience for not having the elevator which start from the first floor. The room you have stayed is small but popular for its reasonable chearge. However, there might be inconvenience for the guests who have big luggages. We have cloak service to keep the guests' luggage at the front desk. Convenient hotel located near osaka station
Location is fantastic. Takes only 5-10mins to get to osaka JR station with lots of amenities nearby. However, room is not brightly lit. Dust could be seen on the ceiling. Bed is clean, room is small. Shower facilities is great, allows you to set the temperature before showering unlike those that you have spend few minutes meddling with the right temperature. Overall, recommend for short stay.

Hotel is clean and location is good. However front desk service is bad. A young lady staff at the front desk was helping us to call a local restaurant for our dinner reservation and in the middle of conversation with the restaurant she was interrupted and stopped by a her manager. This manager told us that their hotel policy does not allow them to make reservation on our behalf. We could not speak japanese language hence needed their help to call the restaurant. His reply was a straight NO. What a surprise to me that the Japanese service standard has became such a state. Hope that this hotel policy is an isolated case.

Value for money accommodation in Osaka
Umeda OS Hotel is actually accessible from Osaka Station (though it takes a while to figure out how to reach there). The room size is typical of most Japanese hotels - small but tidy, clean and to some extent, cozy. The check in and check out process was fast. Front desk staff speak excellent English and have been most helpful with our queries.

Room is so small that you can’t even open a suitcase without blocking the exit. All the basic in-room amenities are there. Plenty of shops nearby. Not easy to find the hotel for the first timer.

Quality budget hotel.
Qualiy hotel within easy walking distance of Osaka (Umeda) station. Room was pretty cramped for 2 people (twin room), but everything else was great. Good selection at breakfast. Clean & comfortable. Would stay here again.

good hotel, it just needs more English
The place is very clean and comfortable next to umeda metro station which is a few metres from osaka train station. It is difficult to find because the explanations to reach the place are very poor and fortunately we were helped for the tourist information centre. To get there you must follow the signs HIGASHI-UMEDA STATION and TANIMACHI LINE if we had known that it would have been way easier. The other problem is that some of their staff in the evening don't speak english, even the sign of the reception is in japanese only which doesn't make you feel very welcoming as a foreign. The other thing is that it'd be nice it they would be more flexible with the check-in and not make you wait until 15. Still it was a good hotel
