The hotel itself is pretty good for the price, however, our room constantly smelled like a dead rat. We had a freshener spray in the room but even that couldn’t get rid of the smell and I’m almost certain a dead mice/rat was the smell. The area is also in a spot that’s in a pretty rough spot during the night. Rarely women walking by themselves, mostly packs of guys walking around, lots of drunk homeless that cat call shamelessly to give you an idea. Felt like a place where you could easily get robbed if you turned a wrong corner. Other than that the hotel itself isn’t bad.

The best feature about this place is its proximity to Nankai Railway that takes you to KIX.. that’s about it.. weird setting -mattresses on the floor? No bed.. only hand towel..

right next to Jr station. With Don Quijote and Daiso nearby. When we stayed there are free drinks like coffee, chocolate drink and tea.

The accomodation was uncomfortably small and the place smelt overwhelmingly like smoke. Although not the accomodations fault at all the surrounding area was a quite gross

The entire hotel besides the lobby smelled very strongly of cigarettes and our room smelled of mold (I was guessing from the a/c unit)

the staff was very nice and the location is pretty central to the subway and restaurants but a couple things… 1. the towels we were given were SO tiny, barely fit my body. and if you wanted a real towel that was 600yen. 2. the bathrooms do not have paper towels in them, just a communal cloth for each sink which i think is so unsanitary. 3. also on the first floor is the communal, women’s-only showers which is accessible to anyone (no special key or keycard is required to get in). a man literally came in there while some of us were getting ready for bed. he was muttering to himself and refused to leave it was extremely uncomfortable and scary. in the end the police were called but the all male front desk staff couldn’t even confront the man because they couldn’t enter the women’s bathroom. myself and two other ladies had to do it before the police eventually came

Good budget place, clean
We stayed only for a night, the place was getting renovated. It's extremely small which is clear in the picturess and why it's so cheap(don't you dare wear your shoes in that room, that's where people sleep). I didn't give it a glorious review because it's literally a place to sleep and that's it. The walls are thin so you hear everything and the pillow is a little uncomfortable so you might want to bring your own. Public bathroom was pretty clean. For my fellow budget life people who intend to stay in these type of hotels here is my advice: always have extra towels, ear plugs for the thin walled places and get used to sleeping on the floor. Ladies keep in mind that the top floor (you can go to the roof) is a bath area for men.... I thought it was closed off but it's clear glass :^) (my bad business men). Also the place was a little confusing to find because there are like three in the area with similar names.

Sleep so comfortably! Will stay there again!
Nothing to complain. I have sensitive skin, whenever i sleep on bed which is not clean enough even though it's a new linen or something, i will feel itchy, but there is no such problem in Hotel Sunplaza, which means it's clean! Clean bathroom and nice service. The staffs are all friendly. Yeah i admit there's strong smell along the hallway, but i think that was cigarettes smell? Since the room has no such smell so it's totally acceptable. The only thing that will become a problem is if guest in the room beside yours is noisy, then u will hear it clearly. The first night i spent, the guest beside me snored sooo loud that can be heard along the hallway so i need to put on my headset. Thankfully the guest only spent one night so i can sleep soundly the rest nights

I loved this hotel!!!
I loved the hotel and the staff was very professional and friendly. I only thing that I did not like is the cleanliness of the toilet and shower room. I feel that they need hourly cleaning for those areas: I stayed on the female only floor. I loved the cleanliness of my room though. Also, I felt the area outside of the hotel was really dirty.

Nice place.
It is a very small room, it fit both of our mats on the floor with no room to spare at the sides. We placed our bags under the window to give us more room by the door. It was going to have a TV and a fridge that both worked well. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and we had no trouble accessing them on our floor. There was a convenience store and a very cheap supermarket close by also.

Room really crowded
This was the first time I have stayed in a hotel with tatami bed & futons. The room for one is crowded enough. When you tried to squeeze 2 people in such a small room, it becomes nearly impossible. Having said that, it enjoys excellent location next to Osaka Station. The shared toilets & bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean & well presented. I would use the hotel again as a single or couple but not 2 unrelated persons.

Nice pricate room, terrible shower facility.
The private small tatami room has it all, airconditioner, fridge, tv, mirror and a window. That was awesome. You can hear the train noise, which was not too bad because of the limit operation hours. Too bad only one shower room for the female level 6F, it was really a hassle to queue up for a long time! Imagine a level of more than 20 rooms with only one shower! Two other female shower rooms were located at 1F. For a night stay, would be ok.

The room is pretty good if you compare with its price. However, the toilet and shower room are inconvenient. There are only one shower and toilet for men in each floor. If you look for cheapest price, I really recommend.

Nice hotel close to Shin-Imamiya station
Good location, just next to Shin-Imamiya station (very close) and cheap. Some staff can speak English. Male public toilet at top floor (11th floor) has a good view. You need to wake up so early in the morning (maybe 6 AM) due to noise from train.

Room are mostly clean. But the wall too thin and missing the auto washing toilet. The shower room good enough but short of towel. If you looking for a budget cheap option with more privacy than hostel to stay i would suggest this one over some higher price hostel around here.

Not the worst, but not good.
If you're looking for a place that is literally just to leave your luggage and MAYBE sleep, then Sunplaza will suffice. We were suckered in by the low price and the tatami floors with futon bedding, but man it was not really worth it. We're glad we saved money, but when we booked a "2 person" room we expected to be able to fit 2 people in it. However, when we went to lay out the futons, the room was not wide enough to accommodate 2 futons in any configuration (we tried.) As a result, the 2 of us had to sleep on a single futon and it was murder on our backs. The hotel is DIRECTLY NEXT TO THE TRAIN STATION so while that is great for getting around easily, it made for loud nights until the last train around midnight and being woken up before 6am. The room also smelled kind of funky and when it rained, despite having the window closed and locked, water got inside around the windowsill. Three times during our stay, the TV in the room next to us was left on a timer and came on at 1am and had the volume cranked all the way up, forcing us to trek down and find the night-duty staff to open the door and turn it down. The walls are paper thin, and two nights in a row there were exceptionally loud guests occupying the rest of the hallway and we got less than 4hrs of sleep. It's also in a kind of sketchy area, 5min from the 'red light district' with actual brothels. As a smaller woman, I was creeped out walking back there from the station at night, alone or with my companions

Good budget hotel
The economy room was so small for 2 persons. If you come 2, you should book large room. the male shared bathroom located at the roof floor. So you can see Sutenkaku tower from the pool. The hotel located nearby Shin-imamiya station, so convenient to connect to Kansai airport via Nankai railway without any transferring. The bathroom and toilet on each floor was too less (only 1-2 rooms each floor).

Great location and cozy rooms
It was an overall awesome stay! The bathrooms are a little outdated and a bit run down, but other than that everything was great. Comfy beds, large room, great location, and awesome hospitality by the owners. The owner even gave us a ride to the bus station! Would recommend :)

施設内は綺麗で清潔、部屋は思ったよりも狭かったが、エアコンがよくきくしテレビもあったので良かった。最上階には大浴場(シャワー8つ)もあり満足でしたが、大浴場の排水溝から嫌な臭いがしたので、その点は残念だった。 施設では、充電器と延長コードの無料貸出しがあり、充電器を忘れて来ていたので、その点は非常に助かりました。また、小さなタオルと歯ブラシが無料アメニティで付いていました。 駅の側ですが、個人的には電車の音は余り気になりませんでした。
