"Downtown villas was perfect for my first stop in Bali. The villas are located right off a Main Street with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from within very easy walking distance. The villa is a bit dated and could use some minor repairs, because of this, it didn’t look as clean as newer more modern accommodations do but the rooms were made up daily and the staff did a great job keeping g them clean and tidy. "A nice hotel, a few restaurants nearby but more choices were about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was ok, a few local options, bread with butter and jam, and drinks. Great, friendly staff. My room had some ants and the water wasn’t hot at all. Room had shower and huge tub and I liked the moveable wall so you can watch TV from the tub :) "

"The room was a bit gross in terms of cleanliness and it really stank. At first we thought it was paint but later decided that it must have been from the mosquito fogging they do everyday that smells like petrol and makes the whole hotel smokey. The staff asked us to stay in our rooms while they did it but we had to make a break for it when the room filled up with smoke and we couldn't see or breathe.
