「John Day sits about 80 miles from the nearest city of any size. It has limited overnight choices. The Best Western, while nice, costs the same as the Best Western at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris. This is John Day, folks. Dreamers Lodge, while not the newest or fanciest motel, is very nice, clean, safe, easily located, walking distance to restaurants AND reasonably priced. This is our choice every time. 」

「The staff were extremely friendly! She helped us find a spot to park our UHaul Sind they didn’t have truck parking and gave us a little welcome card with information. They do allow pets with a grass area a small walk from the motel. We got there at 7 on a Sunday so most places were closed or close to closing, but they do have a good amount of restaurants and cafes! There is a Safeway an 11min walk from the motel however so we just got food there! They have a microwave and a fridge in the motel...
