Situated down a private driveway on a large, internal block, this private property is a true home away from home with some unique experiences for guests to complete their stay in Southern Tasmania.
The house features 3 comfortable and cosy bedrooms accommodating up to 6 guests and there are 2 options for outdoor dining; the open air patio to enjoy the afternoon sun and under cover patio which has direct access off the dining room. A modern bathroom with bath are beautifully integrated while still blending in with the character of this charming 1850s built residence, giving you the opportunity to really enjoy a slice of Tasmanian history without leaving your front door.
The house has a cosy cottage feel and is toasty warm in the Tasmanian winter thanks to an efficient reverse cycle heatpump in the main living areas plus underfloor heating in the bathroom. The kitchen is fully functional including a gas cooktop, dishwasher and coffee machine for guests to enjoy.
With half an acre to explore, the private gardens feature an extensive orchard of apples, quince, mulberry and plums to name a few, mixed beautifully with the veggie patch and chickens roaming freely. The garden also features play equipment and warming fire pit for when you just can't leave the outdoors behind.

Blackmans Bay is a leafy, beachside suburb offering a delicious selection of eats and coffee options including The Beach House, Jack Loves Red, Bombay on the Beach, Salty Dog, Pep Pizza, Robbie Browns, Boho at the Beach.
If you're after some walking options, straight out the front door you can stroll to the sands of Blackmans Bay beach in less than 10 mins, enjoy the cliff walk between Blackmans Bay and Kingston or walk south to Fossil Cove. You are also perfectly situated to head to the beautiful Bruny Island (via ferry) or Huon Valley - both only a short drive away.

The house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac only a 3 min drive to Blackman's Bay beach. From here, you will find a stunning family friendly beach and delicious food options including The Beach House restaurant situated right on the front of the beach offering great food and coffee at all times of the day as well as Jack Loves Red and BoHo at the Beach is a short drive further on to Kingston Beach.
The Kingston Shopping Centre is only a short 8 min drive away and hosts all your grocery requirements along with some shopping and coffee options.
Getting Around:
While Blackman's Bay is relatively compact, its well-connected transport options cater to various preferences. Situated a 15-20 min drive from the centre of Hobart's CBD, your own vehicle is however the best form of transport to get to and from your desired activities.

Please be aware that this property has chickens roaming the gardens, so be mindful of this when making your booking in case this is an issue.
