We really enjoyed staying in this pretty upstairs apartment in Hau'ula. It's beautifully decorated, with a nice deck for being outside while at home. The location is wonderful, near to the North Shore and the PCC, and many good places to eat.It was perfect.

Time at Beach Lane was so beautiful. Really was just footsteps from the beach. The place was spotless and comfortable, and I confrss the ac was lovely at night (or as needed) The owners are super friendly and available. It really had everything I needed..stores, restaurants and post office within walking distance. Polynesian Cultural Center just up the road...TheBus stop right on the corner at the property. Pull-out futon couches in the space allow for company and small or large children or friends. Really loved it.

This apartment is right on the corner of a very busy highway and a side street which has several other houses and many parked cars. The noise from the highway during the daytime was so bad that we did not use the deck. The deck is in bad shape anyway, floors are very stained (not white as in the picture on the web), furniture is old and there was only a torn canvas covering which blew in the wind. We bought some cording and tied it down to some of the chairs to mitigate some of the noise caused by the canvas flapping in the wind. We had been told that the deck would have a permanent covering by the time we got there. We booked several months in advance, but no permanent covering. This area on the north shore of Oahu is really up in the country. There are very few places to eat, and many are food trucks. Certainly not fine dining. There is a good grocery store just 2 miles north in the town of Laie. Plan to eat most of your meals at home. The Polynesia Cultural Center is in Laie. It is well worth spending some time there. Of course, the beaches are gorgeous.

The property was ok but, included services were not. The listing included high speed internet, however it was down 80% of our 7day stay. Not having internet significantly compromised our stay. Phone reception there is terrible. It wasn't just us, the neighbors couldn't get service either. We had to leave the property to use our own data. The property manager was quick to text back, but they expected our neighboring tenant (also vacationing) to stay home to get it fixed. Maintaining their property is their responsibility. I understand things happen, but we should have been compensated.

Been coming to Hawaii for years and I’m just done with Waikiki. So we decided to stay on the other side of the island this time and it’s just so beautiful and so quiet over here. Within a half hour of all the best beaches in the place is super clean as well.

My wife and I are from rural Colorado. We wanted to live on the rustic North Shore. It was perfect. The place was beautiful, people are friendly and the sun comes up over the deck every morning. We loved tge local poke, and fish stand. Just beautiful.

This place is very clean, and they try hard to make it nice and welcoming. However, the service is uneven: a barbecue without instructions that is temperamental (couldn't use it one night), hot water (from the tap) suddenly missing one afternoon, no kettle to boil water (because there is no stove). And it's a very noisy location, so sitting outside on the nice deck isn't an option. The bed situation was very good, as were all the bed linens and towels (except no kitchen tea towels).

Great location for exploring the windward and north shore areas. We appreciate the snorkel gear, boogie boards! The kitchen was fine even without a stove, as there was a 2 burner stove, rice cooker, toaster oven, and more. The only thing we didn’t like was the close proximity to the highway. Kind of noisy, especially on the deck. Otherwise, we had all the comforts of home…even a washer and dryer!

We did not stay at the property because of location issues but stayed in Waikiki at a hotel for the vacation. Sorry to say but the property was very misrepresented on VRBO. THANKS..

Close to the beach, CLEAN and had everything we needed! King bed was so comfy! Also it's the little things like quality TP and shampoo and conditioner. I recommend 100% and would stay again!

There is a lot to love about the North Shore, and this property is close to everything we wanted to do from food to beaches. Being on the top floor made it feel even more like a private getaway. It was super clean and the perfect size for the two of us. The beach (about a block from the house) is wonderful! Being a bit picky: it is right on the highway, although the noise goes away at night. A table lamp in the LR would be lovely, especially for reading and a little atmosphere. I'm glad we had the lovely king sized bed and no one had to sleep on the tired futons. Oahu's country-side is pretty special!

I loved how easy it was to just walk down the lane to an absolutely stunning beach. Everything you need for a perfect beach day was provided - beach towels, a cooler, grass beach mats, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards. I also really appreciated the really comfortable king bed, cute kitchen, outdoor shower for rinsing off all the sand, and the laundry facilities. There is some Kam highway noise, the only drawback to being so close to the main road, so if you are a light sleeper, earplugs are helpful.

Overall, we had a good experience. The property was as advertised and comfortable. The semi-private beach and access was great. Traffic on the road was a tad noisy but we just closed the windows. Internet went down the last two days... a bit of a bummer... but forced me to vacation and not "peek" at work. ha ha. We had the upper (back entrance) portion of the house. The "digital keypad" was a little wonky and hard to read... but we figured it out (would recommend replacing). Overall, we had a good time and would stay here again.

Excellent location away from the crowds. The beach was awesome. Some road noise but not really that big of a deal for us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were impressed with our studio hale in Hauula. It was perfect for our 9-day getaway. The cute kitchen was stocked with enough appliances to cook a full meal. The entire studio was immaculate clean-no ukus! Not one! My favorite part of the hale was the huge deck. It was perfect for bbq entertaining and sunning. Beach access was a 30 second walk. We can’t wait to we can’t wait to bring our grandkids back to the soft sand, tide pool lagoon-ed area. It was a happy, restful vacay.

This was our first time in Oahu and after reviewing several properties I decided to book this property. The location in the island is wonderful as it is a few minutes from PCC, Keana Farms, and Kualoa Ranch. It is next to the highway and it can get noisy and you feel the vibrations but this didn't bother us. The property was cleaned and provided the necessary things we needed for our stay. It worked great for family; we had a child and teenager with us. Communication was not the best and a bit frustrating. I tried calling with no success when I had issues such as accessing the property or when the keypad ran out of battery, this delayed us quite a bit. I was able to get a hold of the manager via text. The day we had to check out, I sent another message and this time I never received a response. When I sent pics of how we left the property, then I got a response. I did get notified of service in the property. Keep in mind the property is in conjunction with other ones, so if there's anyone else staying beneath you, you can definitely hear the noise. Overall, my family was happy to stay here especially because it was feet away from the beach. We will consider staying here again in the future and hoping communication improves.

This was not an easy property for an adult family of four. It is on the highway so it’s loud. It has a lot of appliances but no real kitchen. It’s misrepresented in the listing. We checked out early. Sharing property, services and toys with a downstairs neighbor is also a challenge to the peace of a Hawaiian vacation. Absolutely disappointing.

The property is as described. Good location. A beautiful beach access 100 yards from apartment. The host was most responsive and amiable. The apartment was comfortable and easy. I would highly recommend this apartment. Sleeps up to 4 people but really best and ideal for 2 people. We had a blast! Mahalo

I rented this property initially with my sister and then her boyfriend joined us for 4 days. I did not mind sleeping on the futon. It was perfect for what we needed. Pillows and sheets were comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. And thank goodness for the AC. The coffee machine and appliances are cute and the coffee we had was delish. Laundry machine was also handy. We used it to wash our towels and bathing suits- so much better than a hotel. And the beach! Incredible. Only 100? Feet from the ocean, but it’s a private beach with beautiful water- great for snorkeling or swimming and the sand is nice to walk or run on. Not too rocky. Palm trees along the edge of the beach provided some shade. We caught some lovely sun rises on the clear mornings. This rental is about an hour away from the airport and Honolulu but it was so nice and such a great deal that I cannot argue to spend a cent on a hotel in Waikiki. It was exactly what we needed.

Nice proximity to sea and stores in the windward side of Oahu. The host was very prompt in reply and good at making sure things worked.

We spent 2 weeks here in March 2021. The property was exactly as described. It was perfect for us. It is on the ocean side of Kam Highway, and the beach is steps away. There are great restaurants nearby, and a grocery store if you want to eat in. Greg is a great host. We will stay here again when we come back to the island.

It was a good place to stay that is not in a super busy area. There’s covered parking which was great and AC inside, which was also really great. The DVD player is broken and the mattress and couch leave something to be desired in terms of comfort, but overall it was a nice stay. No stove, but a microwave, toaster oven, and refrigerator which come in handy if you don’t want to eat put for every meal. Overall it was a good experience!

10/10

First time in Hawaii and will definitely stay here again. If you like checking out more of the local flavors instead of the commercialized areas I would highly recommend this place. It is next to a busy street but it was quiet in the property with Windows closed. Greg was easy to get a hold of and had no issues at all .

The description of the place is accurate and the location is very good.. close to a couple of the better local places to eat, 3 minutes from Laie and the Polynesian Cultural Center and a brief stroll down the lane to enjoy the beach. The owner has prepared it well with cooking supplies, beach towels and toys and a full laundry.

We really enjoyed the stay. But right off the bat one complain. When we checked in we found a dead gecko and a lot of droppings. Looked like the property was not cleaned before our arrival. The owner responded to our request for cleaning right away but the cleaning itself took another day to be done. Owner, please stay on top of such things; the first impression is always lasting and very important. The property has easy access to a nice secluded beach. It is also close to other very nice (but some of them very crowded) beaches. It is very close to Polynesian Culture Center (a must visit place). Drivinng distance to Waimea Valley and Falls (don't follow Google map directions for the Waimea falls), Dole plantation (would not recommend, it is a rip off), Giovannin's Shrimp truck (do this at least once), Ted's bakery (have a good breakfast here at least once).

Greg the owner was very responsive and friendly. The place had a nice deck and good access to the beach. We loved that snorkel equipment and coolers were available for our use. The bed was comfortable. Overall the place was adequate. A couple of draw backs for us was the property was located right on a fairly busy road and you could hear traffic noise all day/night and the place smelled a bit musty.

Nice and spacious and the deck was a nice option although it's right beside the highway so very noisy. If you value peace and quiet this will be problematic. Close proximity to north shore attractions. However be aware that the rental fee is based on 2 people, each additional person is $20 per person per day. This is not in the advertisement and only became clear when we confirmed our booking and were issued our payment breakdown. This can add up for a family of four depending on your length of stay. The nearby beach is definitely a nice option for a walk or quick dip but isn't really conducive to a day on the beach as the water is quite rocky and the north shore is quite windy. We were also a bit uncomfortable with the fact that some homeless people were camped in the bushes/trees along the beach. Overall it was a well stocked and comfortable space with one significant exception - the bed is very uncomfortable. If you're looking for quiet and to get well rested in a comfy bed, this is not the place for you.

Nice place, close to the Polynesian cultural center and byu-Hawaii. Overall nice and clean with the amenities you would need to survive. Great for a couple, would be tight and a bit uncomfortable if there are more. The deck is nice but it is next to a busy road and you really can't see the beach. The beach is just a short walk down a private lane and is easily accessible. We only stayed 2 nights so it was a short stay. Greg was great to work with and was consiencious to make sure we got in ok and that all was well. I would recommend it to friends for a short stay to enjoy the north end of the island. We loved the covered parking with the gate that keeps you feeling safe and private. Thanks Greg for letting us enjoy your place.

This was a great place for a weekend visit. Location was convenient- about 20 minutes from the big North Shore beaches. Had a nice big deck and grill which we put to use. Also, you can walk to end of street where there is beach access but not a deep beach at all so seating can be tough especially with high tide and beware of rocks in the water. Great option if you're looking for North Shore rentals.

Air conditioning in the bedroom which was good as we needed it. Open windows cooled the rest of the space. Beautiful and nearby beaches. Nice outdoor shower for after beach rinse off. Loved the outside deck. Close to grocery shopping and juice stands. Minutes from the shrimp shacks and Polynesian cultural Center. Kitchen was great. We used a hot plate as there wasn't a stove top and it worked out fine. Nice covered parking. Greg was super attentive and easy to work with.

We loved this cozy cottage. It was close to the beach and everything on the North Shore that we wanted to do. We appreciated the beach toys and gear that we could use. Loved being close to Laie so we could visit BYU-HI, PCC, Keana zip line tour, and temple grounds. We were a short drive to Sharks Cove, Sunset, Waimea, and Haleiwa. We loved eating at Tita's Grill in Kahuku, and Hukilau Cafe and Seven Brother's in Laie. Lots of close fun places to visit, eat at, and enjoy. The cottage had pretty much everything we needed for the evenings when we came back from our day trips. We appreciated the little bin of toys for my toddler to enjoy. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the bed was uncomfortable. Other than that everything was great.

10/10

First time to Hawaii and this space was exactly what we needed it to be. Greg was a great host checking to make sure we arrived okay. Location is perfect. The PCC is less than 5 mins away, same with the Laie LDS temple (which we attended) and BYU-Hawaii. We felt like we weren't far from home with so many members nearby. The beach is steps away from the condo with an incredible view for Sunrises. Even sunsets were perfect. We were provided use of snorkeling equipment, beach towels, and beach lounge chairs. Great location.

8/10

Greg's place is freshly painted with a Hawaiian theme, decor is themed to the beautiful beach which is a short 1/2 block walk down a quaint local and quiet street. It is right off the Kam highway which is convenient but can be heard during the daytime . The place is well stocked and we were able to bake ribs in the small electric oven and finish them on the beautiful 2nd story deck. The view is beautiful and is basically blue skies with rooftops leading to a blue horizon or the beautiful mountain range. We enjoyed the closeness of the beach for an early morning walk to see the sunrise and then stroll for a mile each way in the sand. Economically speaking, this room was about the cost of the Marriott in Laie where there is a beautiful pool and a very close beach entrance. (There is a fee for cleaning, additional people and we had purchased the cancellation insurance.) If you prefer to prepare your own food, Greg's house with a deck is perfect. Greg was also quick to answer texts when we had a question. He also supplied towels, beach chairs , and snorkel equipment. The four of us had an unforgettable trip to the north shore and we stayed in 3 different vrbos and the Marriott all having a Kam highway address. Gregs place was very homey and well maintained. We would recommend anyone to enjoy the north shore with a stay there!

Clean and well cared for unit that was perfect for 3 people. We wanted to escape the "city" scene and this was delightful. Beach at the end of the lane and short drives to many more beaches. Deck was spacious and nice to sit outside. Owner response was prompt and attentive if ever a question. Will definitely consider staying here again!

8/10

Property is as described, a cute but beach-worn little spot that met our needs. You can't quite see the ocean from the balcony but it's only a few houses away. It is worth noting that because it's right off the highway, you can hear the sound of big trucks passing throughout the night which prevented us from wanting to leave the windows open despite that the inside smells stuffy and mildewy and would be better aired out.
