Hotel residencia del Sol was a great stay, great pricing and service. Limited dining around area and from we heard from locals unsafe in the evenings

Safe, Secure and Peace of Mind
Check-in was straightforward. Parking avaliable and secured on-site. Site secured access. Room spacious and view of iconic free-standing structure, skyline view and trees from balcony was impressive. The beds were very comfortable. The noise from motor bike and dogs barking was manageable through the use of ear plugs. Conveniently located with multiple of eateries within walking distance. Safe to walk about but do not recommend when crowds die down at night. The grounds are beautiful. Safe, secure and peace of mind during any stay and this site delivers.
Rooms are spacious and the balcony provides great views of the city.
Looks like a mini Eiffel tower.
Basic typical breakfast. Word to the chef, ditch the bread and add tortillas.

me he hospedado ahí varias veces y puedo decir que está decreciendo la calidad del servicio y el cuido del hotel. Desde el intercomunicador para accesar al estacionamiento el cual pintado de negro es casi invisible de noche con la pobre iluminación en la zona de acceso. Las tarjetas de acceso a las habitaciones totalmente desgastadas y visiblemente reusadas. Agua de tomar en botella de vidrio igualmente con signos de ya demasiados usos. La tv no tiene cable.

The hotel is basically for national residents. Breakfast is not at international level. Definitevely is not a continental breakfast as is known. Rooms don't have air conditioned and we needed to ask for a fan to survive. Restaurant is closed on weekends and neither the breakfast nor the restaurant have a menu to see the offers. By the other hand, the personel is very friendly and and take care of you at anytime. Recognitions to Rodemiro and Randy in front desk for all their help and good job. Room housekeeping was wonderful too. The bathroom fan (extractor) was very noisy and bothered us a lot. Overall I don't recommend this hotel for international tourism.

Always a great choice for me.
Our stay at Residencia was excellent as usual. Unfortunately, the other (young adult?) guests on our floor where very loud and inconsiderate of their noise until about 11:30 pm. I am sure if I called the front desk it would have been handled but I was exhausted enough to fall asleep. So no complaints here.

Noisy, abandoned place
Don’t waste your money here, you will get much amenities anywhere else with same rate. Very disappointing. Most of furniture in room was very old, foung bugs, sheets were probably not washed. There were no toiletries in bathroom. Will never stay here again. Doesn’t deserve even one star.

It's cozy and well located, but it has so many details, the shower became a little pool when showering, no fridge in the room, you can order food to your room but it's not possible to pay with card, only cash. Far from an ATM.

Great hotel close to the airport
The hotel itself feels very modern and clean, especially for being as close to the airport as it is in the middle of Guatemala City. Our deck looked over a big tree, which quieted city noise and lights.

A nice place to stay if you are on a budget. It is located on a busy street so there was lots of noise at night. The room was very spacious with very comfortable beds. Although the bathroom was standard, it was very dirty the night we arrived. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is delicious with many options to choose from. The front desk was not very helpful, they did not provide any kind of information at check-in including my breakfast vouchers or wifi code so I had to go back various times to get the information. It is in a convenient location to get around Guatemala City. The hotel has its pros and cons. If you are a budget minded traveler, this hotel is a very nice fit.
