Dear Shin, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at the SpringHill Suites Burr Ridge with us. I am very sorry our current appearance was not what you had anticipated. We strive to maintain the highest standards, not only in service, but also with regards to maintaining the overall look and feel of the hotel. Unfortunately, this sometimes requires essential renovations in our guest areas. I am happy to announce that we have finished our renovation. All of our guest rooms & public space now provide a highly functional space and stylish décor that meet the modern needs of our valued guests, like you. We are located just 20 minutes outisde of the Chicago loop area and you can easily access many of Chicago's best attractions with a short car ridge or take the Metra train into downtown from the Hinsdale Train station. Thank you for the review. The scent in the lobby is not to "cover up odors" but is a patented aroma particular to Marriott hotels. Also, since we have a market that is open 24 hours daily where bottles of water may be purchased, plus each room has a kitchen type sink for tap water, I am confused that you were unable to find the water that you made an issue of. We do, however, appreciate your business and welcome the opportunity to serve you again.

My suggestion would be that if you are looking for a hotel that predominantly is not family oriented, that your next reservation be at the Ritz-Carlton or Peninsula in downtown Chicago. Their restaurants are exemplary, food may not be mediocre, or it may, and at 39.95 for breakfast it is a bargain.
