Unfortunately it was uninhabitable due to no air conditioning (it was 85 degrees at night)

When we arrived it was 85 degrees, the air conditioning did not work, there were insects in the bathrooms, water coming from the taps was brown, the WiFi didn’t work and the neighbors were screaming at each other for the entire few hours we stayed to see if the issues could be resolved. The host initially responded to us, but after several messages back and forth he stopped replying. As I have a health issue which is worsened by heat we had to leave and find alternative accommodations. Our host did not reply when I notified him we were leaving.

NIGHTMARE in Chicago - Avoid This VRBO at ALL COSTS!

91 with NO AC, ROACHES, and a GHOSTING HOST!This VRBO was an absolute DISAsTER from start to finish. We walked into a 91-degree sauna (yes, you read that right) with broken AC, and the place wasn’t even ready at check-in. Oh, and did I mention the ROACHES? Because nothing says vacation like sharing your space with uninvited six-legged guests. The host stopped answering calls and instead sent bizarre texts pretending I was still there even though he knew I’d left! Then came the unjust charges: He tried to slap me with a night’s stay cleaning fee after I’d barely been inside for an hour. Thankfully, VRBO support stepped in and will get me a full refund, but no one should have to fight this hard for basic decency. Don’t bother asking if he fixed the issues. I did, & he LIED. See pictures below.Enjoy reading this review again after you also learn the hard way
