「Disappointed that the room we were given had opaque film over window, found out why when we opened window to find out view was a building site. Little sleep as could hear every footstep from either room above or corridor. Food in restaurant was delicious.」

「Just returned from wonderful two night stay at Black burn Lodge and it lives up to the rave reviews. Stunning location by the river, where we spent the evenings in the gazebo enjoying the views and a glass of Baileys . The room was spotlessly clean with high quality bedlinen and furnishings. Also separate lounge if weather not great. The hosts make you feel so welcome and provide a lot of formation about where to eat and visit in the area. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.」

Wake-up to a relaxing view of green pastures and dairy herd. Welcoming host and superb Scottish breakfast. Highly recommended.」

「We had a wonderful Easter Weekend in the log cabin. Location is great - 20/25 mins from Carlisle, lots of lovely walks around. So peaceful, the log cabin itself is fab and has everything you need. Tracey and David were really friendly and i enjoyed lots of strokes with the dogs too! We will 100% be back again soon, thank you for such a great weekend away」
