Wonderful wedding weekend
Everything was perfect for our daughter’s wedding weekend. Jeff even dropped off a bottle of champagne for us. The accommodations were wonderful.

Amazing
Breath taking ocean views. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed at. Highly recommend. Place was first-class. Only thing I would mention, is that I wasn’t aware there was a train that passes by occasionally, but honestly didn’t care, it was an amazing experience and a great room. The door locks were finicky, but the overall vibe of the area/neighborhood made me feel safe, and somewhat comfortable not being able to lock my doors. Just tells you what an incredible stay this was, definition of care free. Magical place. 5 out of 5. Would return.

Great guest. Would love to host them over and over. Doors handles just need to be pulled up to lock the doors. Hope we have the opportunity to host Nick again!

This property is perfection. We’ll maintained, lots of amenities, comfy bed, a/c, Wi-Fi, parking. Even provide beach chairs and umbrella. You won’t want to leave once you check in. The beach access/location is one of a kind. Host is very kind and accommodating. Can’t wait to book again. A very special place.

Milestone Wedding Anniversary
Our stay was great, so enhanced by the very comfortable, calm beautiful space. Every feature is updated version. Loved the stylishly cool bathroom and its open floor walk-in shower. The direct ocean view makes it all come together to top rating in wonderful Carpenteria, a big favorite!

very nice!
The efficiency is very clean, well decorated , large comfortable sectional, large bathroom, lovely robes, nice dishes, good view in a small beach community. It was very good for a few night stays given we attended a wedding. Microwave and fridge are good for a few grocery items and take out. Freezer would be nice, or ice available. The beach is very lovely but I didn't feel compelled to walk as often as I normally do, because of the rocks you have to climb. It's not a big obstacle but I can see how it would be with small children and beach equipment. The train that goes by for 15 seconds a few times a day is not a big deal, in fact I thought lovely, remi niscent of the old santa fe or Polar express. Jeff quickly responded to requests and excellent to work with. Easy drive to adorable Monticito and Santa Barbara for shopping and great restaurants.

Happy Place!
This was my at least fourth stay at the Surf Loft - it truly is my Happy Place! Love the comforts of the loft & in close proximity to so many great places. Plus, Jeff is a great host! Already looking at my future dates for my next visit! Thank you Jeff for sharing this amazing place!

Beachy Keen
We stayed here in late May, and although it was cloudy and cool, the property was comfortable and beautiful. Our host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Probably the only setback was that the Nespresso machine did not work, but we were able to walk to a cafe to get coffee. Also, it wasn’t a problem for us because it was too cold to swim, but apparently Padaro beach is known for great white sharks, so that is something to consider. Highly recommend this stay, but be careful of the weather because it would have been 10x better had it been warm and sunny.

We feel back about the coffee maker and had they told us, we would have immediately replaced it. There are sharks in the ocean, but they are not a problem. We surf and swim almost every day.

Perfect spot for a quick weekend away.
So close to the beach, so close to Santa Barbara, a beautiful spot to get away from it all. The train does roll by, but the property is very well built so the sound is not bad at all. Thanks for letting us stay, we will be back.

Amazing Place!!
Beautiful property in a beautiful place! You can’t beat the location and the property is awesome. Close to restaurants, shops, Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. We’ve been to a lot of VRBO’s but this one is special.

Great view of the Pacific from a modern, clean studio apartment
The large windows and high ceiling provided an excellent view of the Pacific. The studio apartment is new and has up to date appliances. The beach was a short walk away. The owner provided coffee, shampoo, beach towels, beach chairs and an umbrella. We appreciated the recommendations for restaurants in nearby Montecito. We hope to return next year!

This place is gorgeous, quiet and comfortable. Some mention has been made of the train in other reviews but I found the train to be a non-issue. The train runs a few times a day and passes the property in seconds. I was more concerned about the proximity to highway 101, but that too is a non-issue--with the windows open in the front all you can hear is the ocean. We took many walks and it's a great base for cycling in both Ventura and Santa Barbara. Highly recommend!

Absolutely Fabulous!
We definitely want to come back. The view, the ocean sounds, the easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants - all of this - and even a comfy bed and cozy robes. It was absolutely fabulous!

Wonderful oceanviews throughout and totally quiet. All you hear is the ocean. Very nice beach and good places to eat nearby. Ideal for a romantic weekend.

My husband I spent the weekend here and it was amazing! The view was breathtaking, accommodations were spotless and the bed super comfy. We can’t wait to go back. Our host was terrific as well. Highly recommend if you are looking for a romantic getaway. We even ran into Kevin Costner.

Not sure how to respond to the 3 stars. Yes we are close to the train. We are very open about it. It goes right through the Rosewood Miramar property where rooms are $2500.00 a night. Most guest think it is kinda of a cool thing!

Perfect Getaway
This place is perfect - exactly as described and pictured. Across from a very nice, quiet beach and walking distance to wonderful restaurants great for all meals. Well decorated and plenty of space. Sitting on the patio watching the sunset is as good as it gets. We will be back and hope to check out the other Beachin' Companies properties as well. Thank you.

Love Surf Loft!
I absolutely love the Surf Loft! This was my second stay in less than 3 months & I’m already trying to figure out when I can return. The studio is perfect - comfort & location. I love that I can see & hear the pounding surf. Plus, it’s proximity to both quaint Carpinteria & Santa Barbara along with great restaurants is ideal. Plus, Jeff, the owner, is great too. The property looks exactly as it does online. It's clean, spacious and comfortable. The view and location can't be beat. The only downside is the train that passes by several times a day - starting at 7am with a startlingly loud whistle!

The train passes every beach house between Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. It goes right through the Rosewood Miramar property. They only blow the whistle if the are warning someone to move off the tracks. Unfortunately we can’t move the train tracks!

Nirvana!
The Sea Loft is the ideal beach retreat - it is Nirvana! From the sounds of the pounding surf to the stunning ocean views, the loft is well appointed, beautifully decorated & so very comfortable. The outside space is just as inviting, sitting in the comfy chaise loungers enjoying the ocean breeze & watching the sun set was heaven on Earth. To top it all off, we loved the quick walk to Padaro Beach Grill for great food along with easy drives to both Santa Barbara, Montecito & quaint Carpinteria. I cannot wait to return. Thank you Jeff!

Awesome Getaway
The studio was spacious and had everything we needed and more for a quiet and relaxing time away. The property offers great ocean views and easy access to the beach. This is about as oceanfront as it gets. It was tough to leave and go back to the grind. We will be back!

Weekend getaway for myself and my husband.
Everything was wonderful. Very relaxing weekend. Opened the French doors facing the beach and listened to the waves for hours. Just what we needed to decompress and rejuvenate. Only suggestion I have is putting in a regular size coffee maker. Would definitely return.
