Great all-inclusive experience, exceeded our expectations – the property is nice, clean and huge. Food was good for us and for our picky teens, specialty restaurants were very nice too. A choice of shows every night, some of them were really amazing. A bit disappointed with the beach - there are only a couple of place where you can comfortably get into the water without rocks, and we had our swimming shows. The rest is covered by reefs – probably good for snorkeling but the sea was rough so we did not have a chance. One thing that can be improved is communication about airport transfers – it’s available (you have to call them) but not included so we scrambled at the last moment trying to book something ~150 USD one way for the family. All our previous all-inclusive places included transfers so we assumed it’s the same everywhere and did not pay attention. Wi-Fi was ok around 6 Mbit/s, spotty around the property but worked fine in the room. We also discovered a few cenote places just outside of the property, you can walk there and spend half a day swimming in really magic caves etc.

2 out of 3 ice machines didn't work in our building. Ice cream and ice milk in the buffet were sour. Food in buffet was average at best.All soft drinks in restaurants were flat and stale. Towels in rooms were not comfortable. Pool areas were very nice and housekeeping was awesome. Speciality restaurants were awesome.

Love this resort!! The beach is great can snorkel with sea turtles right in front of the palace. The pools are amazing the rooms are very big great for a family of four. The food at the restaurants and buffet were excellent. Wish they wouldn’t have trimmed all the Palm trees at the palace so there was more shade like the rest of the beach. I would definitely return here

It's beautiful as always but don't appreciate being charged extra from the resort. I had 3 different reservations for 3 families. Confirmation email listed 2 adults and 2 children for all 3 families. According to Barceló, Expedia sent info over to them that I put all the ages as 1 yrs old. Ive booked this trip for many years and never done this as I know there is a huge price difference. I will give them that "accidents happen" so fine maybe there could be a slight possibility this could happen on 1 reservation but not 3. We were in a completely different country with our children we felt we had to pay rather than trying to put our family in a situation of trying to find a random hotel we wouldn't feel safe at. We asked the hotel to work with us on the price as they were charging us more for our kids than us adults. Our kids would be sleeping on the couches, not drinking any adult beverages or utilizing any premium services but they refused since we booked premium ocean front room. I asked them to move us to a basic junior room if it would help price and they refused as well. This resort made an extra $2800 from each of the 3 families and even though Expedia refunded $1000 per family it still left us with a huge unexpected loss but they did say that would be only offer. I agreed to accept it because it's better than nothing. I've always recommended Expedia and Barceló to friends, family and random people I've talked to about Mexico so I no longer can do this.

Restaurants were great…Must make a reservation in advance, however the buffet was excellent as well. Magic show was fun. Pool was amazing and huge. Water was warm and very close to the beach. Swam in the ocean with sea turtles every morning. Only down side was that checking in was painfully SLOW.
