快適な滞在

ホワイト島ツアーのために滞在しました。残念ながら、噴火直後でツアーに参加できなかったため、タウポに向かう拠点にしました。部屋は広く、必要なものは揃っており、快適に滞在できました。ミニキッチンはありますが、調理は不可です。電子レンジでの温めになります。朝食はカフェで購入可ですが、わりと高いので、部屋にあるお茶と何かを買い込んだ方がいいと思います。シャワーの出も良く、シャンプーなどのアメニティも香りがいいものが常備されていました。

便利で親切

部屋は広々、機能的、簡易キッチン有り、スタッフも気さくで親切、街中心部も間近で、飲食店街、スーパーマーケット、観光案内所兼長距離バス停も徒歩数分で楽々。火山島ツアーの申し込みデスクも兼ねているので便利。徒歩１分で港のボートに乗り込み出港可。ただ、隣室が、音楽を大音響で流すのには閉口した。結局は、ジャグジー付きのグレードアップの別室に変えてもらえたが、それでも近隣からの大きな足音、家具移動の音に悩まされた。バンガローの部屋も10棟近くあるので音が気になる方は、そちらの利用がお勧め。

At the time, we did our best to nullify this for you with a change of rooms (and upgrade!), but understand that you are a light sleeper, which made it difficult for you to get a restful sleep. Awa is always an excellent place to stay, especially if you’re in the spa bath room. SKY TV, aircon, etc - excellent! My only gripe is that there isn’t a power switch on the right side of the bed so I can use my phone while charging it, headphones, charger and hubby’s phone (his side has C-PAP). There are heaps of switches on the bench but too far away for my cords to reach.

Fantastic staff, very helpful. The room was very spacious and well set up. We had breakfast from the Awa cafe' which was superb and took in the wonderful view.

We had The Bungalow, which I found needs quite a bit of modernising and updating. Carpets very marked, lounge suite broken and uncomfortable.

We stayed 2 nights in the motel and it was one of the best we have stayed in. Out of all the hotels we stayed in in New Zealand, this was one of the cheapest but what we got for our money was outstanding. A very large comfy bed,a kitchen, air conditioning and large television and a very large bathroom. We also had free use of the launderette including free detergent. Could not fault it and would recommend it to anyone staying in Whakatane.

Very comfortable, spacious room and well organised. Receptionist friendly and efficient. Location was extremely convenient for accessing town, restaurants and walks along the harbour.

The property is walking distance from the CDB. Very convenient. Good value for money and clean. Room was very spacious and met all our needs. We do recommend it. No air conditioner though but the fan was very handy. Thanks

This is always my come to for accommodation in Whakatane, easy, convenient, great staff, super cafe on site and easy parking. Lovely units which are always super clean and tidy. Brilliant team, thanks guys.

I do like the Awa, however I wouldn’t choose the three bedroom apartment again. With zero air conditioning it made it far too warm in the heat of summer. The layout of only one toilet and it being downstairs while all the bedrooms are upstairs was inconvenient and the lack of extraction fan in the bathroom meant having to open the window while showering- which still didn’t do much to help the steam, but it gave the neighbours outside plenty of chances to see us in the shower or toilet as there are steps directly next to the unit so passer-by’s going up or down get an eye full. The sky tv also switched off at 8pm (when the reception closes) so there was nothing to watch for the rest of our stay.

Lovely cabins. Very comfortable bed. A smal couch or couple of armchairs would have been nice. Other than that had everything we needed. Great location for exploring Whakatane and Ohope. Close to supermarket and dinning options.

Comfortable enough a little work to do.

Receptionist was excellent. The facilities are starting age. Safety barriers on some terrace balustrades. Teaspoon needed cleaning before use.
