It is on the mountainside with great views, but you won't see the view from your room unless you choose a Japanese style room (the twin rooms are on the back of the hotel). "It is a great ryokan for its value. The staffs do not speak English but they are friendly and helpful but there are English written instructions in the rooms. The bath are okay. There are indoor and outdoor baths"

Buses run regularly during the day - be sure to grab a bus schedule at the train station or the tourist information center situated right next door. Sightseeing bus depot or train for the coast starts from the train station. Hotel does not provide drinking water - buy your own from...

"We speak very little Japanese and were in the town to visit family. The hotel staff was very friendly and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely stay there again when we visit next year."
