"Overview: traditional Japanese hotel, tatami room, came with Japanese deserts and chopsticks and tea setup, also towels and yukatas were all clean. Tatami room where you need to make your own futon/bed. Pillows were also Japanese style, think full of small beads instead of feathers. So I advice to bring your own pillows. "Spent a winter wonderland of a week at Mont Cervin and can't recommend it highly enough. 15min walk from town but you never have to do the uphill yourself because the wonderful owners will shuttle you to and from the ski fields. "Akakura Onsen is a small town and everything is fairly close by but thanks to the hotel we enjoyed discounts to renting the ski equipment at the shop nearby. We also enjoyed private use of the onsen for half hour each day and the English-speaking hotel stuff was super friendly and helpful."
