I paid almost £165 to stay at Aerotel Heathrow ahead of my flight this morning. Upon first impressions, I was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and the facilities available to guests. However, the location of the hotel doesn't leave you with much choice in terms of things to do or places to eat and drink if you'll be staying at the hotel overnight.
In addition, I was absolutely sickened to pull back the duvet to find hairs, stains and what looked like either blood or tomato-based food stains on the bedding. I ended up having to have my bedding changed at 1.15am - 1.30pm. The manager was very helpful and apologetic. She offered me a change of room but as I'd already unpacked and had a morning flight, this option didn't appeal to me. To top it off, the TV didn't work at all - the stream was lost - and not even the manager could get it working. Take my advice and stay at the Hilton Garden hotel instead. I will definitely be submitting a complaint about my experience at this hotel.
