"The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from Karuizawa station. It is in a quite place. There is a lake nearby surrounded by restaurants. But unfortunately it was closed while we were there, since it was winter and after Christmas. I loved the interiors of the hotel. The room was super cozy. We visited in a group of 5. "The staff and cleaniness of the hotel was good, but it was way way overpriced for the type of room (unit style bathroom etc). Also the food was incredibly expensive - JPY8,000 for a dinner bento box (looked like something that would cost around jpy 1,500 at any other place). I have been living in Japan over 25 years and I would not recommend the hotel because it was so overpriced.
