L’hotesse à l’accueil nous dit que 3 chambres ont été réservées au lieu de 2 nécessaires seulement pour nous 5 (2 adultes + 3 enfants). Elle en annule une mais nous facture 2 chambres au prix fort, elle nous facture également les petits déjeuners alors qu’ils étaient inclus d’après Expédia. 100€ de perdu en tout. L’hôtel est joli et les buffets bien fournis.

The location and grounds along the lake were very nice. The restaurant and choices from the menu and buffet were also excellent. The only downfall would be that the 2 pools were not in pristine condition as the one closest to the restaurant looked like it had not been cleaned in awhile and the one by the lake was cleaner however it had a lot of bugs and leafs floating on the surface. Overall however the staff made up for those downfalls.

Hidden beauty.
Best place in small town, take you breath out, very comfortable, friendly staff. Boat cruise was Fabulous. We arrived few minutes after the heavy storm but staff was very welcoming and helpful. We will come again with more family members.

A breathtaking experience with absolute peace and tranquility. The hotel staff and management were very friendly and accommodating. They tried to make us a as comfortable as possible.Definitely an oasis in a desert. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel, service and food
Absolutely lovely place for our family to stay. Even with 3 young boys, the staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Beautiful dinner and huge breakfast. Best thing was the lake trip with 2 amazing guides.

i spent a weekend at Ghost Mountain Inn.The staff was very friendly and welcoming.I loved the food,my visit was spoiled by the bad weather,cold and wet.I used a wheelchair friendly room so my only advice is for the wardrobe rails to be lowered in case someone like me travels alone.A bit of a shelter in the disabled parking bay wont hurt,I got wet each time i accessed my car.Otherwise I say unequivocally im planning to return.Thank you to all,a great place to visit

We stopped for lunch at this hotel about a year ago on a flying visit through Mkuze and were determined to come back for a weekend. I am so glad we did! Set amidst picturesque gardens against the stunning backdrop of the Lebombo mountain range and the eerie ghost mountain from which the hotel gets its name, the GMI is perfect for a relaxing weekend. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Mkuze airstrip and an easy 3+hour drive from Durban. The rooms are well appointed and spotless - robes and slippers would have been a nice touch. The food was excellent. Mosquitoes were a bit of a problem. The service was generally acceptable, although we did notice a marked deterioration in service levels since our last visit - the service could definitely benefit from more of a personal touch and more management intervention. For instance, rather than being escorted to our room on the other side of the resort and being offered help with our bags, the duty receptionist (Sifiso) merely pointed in the general direction of the room and left us to find our way ! On the Saturday evening, the lone barman was expected to serve all the tables whilst waiting bar - this resulted in more than an hour long wait for our snack order. Both these issues could have been easily resolved with more active/attentive/effective management. All in all, this was a most enjoyable stay and, bar the minor service irritations, this hotel definitely has a lot to recommend it. We look forward to our next visit.

It’s the fourth time we have stayed at the hotel. Really like it. Friendly helpful staff. Nice restaurant. Good game drive facilities if wanted plus other activities. New bedroom wing and pool further enhance it. Lovely grounds.woukd recommend.

M family had a lovely time visiting surrounding areas, staff there are exceptional although the insects and bed bugs really need to be sorted out. Or else that 4 star would be more like 3 stars if not for the helping staff.

The hotel is a great spot to access reserves
The rooms are comfortable obviously recently redone. The grounds are lovely with access to the dam which is a beautiful spot to sit and relax. Small boats are available to use.

Great hotel with access to a beautiful dam.
The hotel was clean and easy to find. The staff very friendly. The beds were very comfortable, the room clean and having access to the dam was great for sundowners.

Very friendly check in with welcome drink. The hotel is in a calm area and has a large and pretty garden with pool. The bar and the dining room are with views to the pool and the garden. Both breakfast and dinner were good. Our room was clean. There was a large bathroom and an access to the garden with an own little terrasse. Our room was furnitured in a general and impersonal style. We were missing the african touch in this hotel and also it makes the impression of wanting to be better than it actually is. For what it offers the price could have been lower.

Great base for visiting the region
Excellent base for visiting game parks and Saint Lucia estuary and region. Very helpful and caring staff particularly the manager Raph, and the resident guide Jean who was always available for any additional help and took us out on a very interesting and informative game drive. Good restaurant with excellent executive chef, Samir, who couldn't be more helpful in catering for our dietary requirements on a daily basis. Peaceful and tranquil tropical grounds and spa which looked good although we did not use the facilities.

De passage pour une nuit. Très bon moment. Espace bar + Lounge autour de la piscine très agréable avec beaux arbres et fleurs. Restaurant de bonne qualité avec barbecue. Malheureusement l'eau de la piscine ne semblait pas assez propre pour donner envie d'une baignade. Excellent rapport qualité/prix.
