I liked how close it was to the Homosassa Springs State Park Adventures. There is a bridge connecting the property to actually walk there. I treated my Mom to a Mothers Day getaway for the weekend. The Roadway Inn is under construction for renovation. But they are still open. There are friendly people at the pool and the bar/restaurant connected to the property. There is always an employee doing rounds to keep the grounds tidy. Plus, the pool is well maintained. The front desk gentleman (KP) was really friendly and suggested different activities to do in the area. I will definitely be booking another stay here for a nice relaxing getaway.

I am not a picky traveler but this hotel is a tragedy. I understand that the place can be old but it doesn’t mean it has to be dirty!!! The room was not clean at all. Dust everywhere. We found two bugs( 1 in bathroom and 1 on the countertop). I booked it not taking reviews into consideration because I know people sometimes Exaggerate but this was a mistake. They put a blanket between sheet which was definitely not washed. Disgusting! Also, the building was under construction (which is understandable) but this was something additional to our bad experience. We checked out after 1 night. Do not recommend! Expedia did not want to refund us for all the nights that we didn’t stay there, just 2 out of 3. Even though the hotel said it is up to Expedia and also we were subject to a property fee equal to the first night's rate plus taxes and fees. They charged us for two nights.

This property is connected to the state park. There is a bridge not far from the swimming pool that goes to the park. Very convenient for families with children. The pool is nice also.

We could hear the conversation of people making a sales agreement outside of our door near the pool about 10p. Then one of the women was literally looking into our room windows when my husband opend our door. There were a lot of people loitering around the hallway. The Night manager said he would check it out, but did not seem to really care. Our 5year old was scared that someone had looked in our window. We will NEVER stay there again!

First room. Dirty bed cookie crumbs. On check in Moved to 2nd room sheet had blood spot. Looked like not fresh linens. Room was foul smelling and Damp. Slept in sweet pants and long sleeve shirt. Used a clean t shirt for a pillow case. Now i asked the front desk in morning to CLEAN ROOM and fresh towels and bedding. Upon returning bedding was changed. Room not cleaned empty kleenex box . Not filled I'D HIGHY SUGGEST THAT EXPEDIA REMOVE THIS. DUMP FROM ITS SITE.

Slightly dated and door has no deadbolt (empty cavern), meaning only the foldable detent is there for security. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. In the area, there are not many options but this one I would recommmend to others as price is very reasonable, nice pool, great staff and good location.

If you are a smoker it would be ok or a family member that smoked. The balcony had someone smoking while walking to the room. It was ok except the floors need to be cleaned. Tile in the rooms but my feet were dirty just walking around in the room.

The room had an odor, a certain spot on the floor was wet (they allow pets, so I’m hoping it wasn’t urine), no towels were supplied, and the dead bolt to the door didn’t work. I reserved a king (prepaid) a week in advance and they didn’t have it, so I settled on a room with 2 queens. The staff was nice though.

The first room we had the toilet was dirty and broken. The second was not much better. After one flush this toilet broke! We had use a bucket to flush. We had one towel. The sink leak. The hotel couldn't compensate me because I booked thru you. I'm hoping you can help with this issue!

Overall good stay for the price. Bathroom was a bit grimy but the rest of the room was clean. Other people staying were loud and rude. The restaurant there the service was pretty bad, tried calling 3 times to order something, was left on hold for 8 minutes then they hung up. Went down to order than ignored, finally left to get food elsewhere.

The check in was not good. The front desk person ignored us at first, even though we were the only ones checking in. Once he acknowledged us, he was terse. The magnetic keys did not work and when my husband asked a question, he was told to "chill out". Eventually another person was brought in to fix the keys, who was helpful. There were 3 other people waiting to have keys fixed. The room smelled like wet dog, my husband had to spray Fabreeze throughout the room to reduce the smell. The AC worked on and off. We were there for 2 days and Housekeeping never showed up. While the price was competitive, and the view facing the courtyard was very pretty, I don't think we will stay there again.

rooms need a good floor cleaning especially behind the beds-looked like soft drink was spilled and floor not properly mopped, bathroom floor needed attention also, microwave was dirty, needs replacing, refrigerator was not plugged in therefore it was mildew/moldy, shower handle did not function properly, I know it is not a 5 star hotel and you get what you pay for but the nightly stay is not the cheapest and customers just want a clean room and friendly service and my husband and I did not get either, final turn off was a roach scampering across floor.. Positive feedback: comfortable bed, beautiful swimming pool and close to the state park
