"This was our second stay at Serendipity. The property is nicely maintained and we were very comfortable. Chie san was very helpful. We tried out some more of her recommended restaurants and were not disappointed. A particular plus is that the house, while very quiet, is just steps from a major bus line, so that it is very easy to get downtown, to the station, or to Higashiyama or Gion, in just minutes. Excellent hotel in Kyoto, convenient location
"Such a nice hotel! Very convenient location, with free shuttle to the train station (only about 10 minutes away). Staff was very helpful, answering a couple of emails before our trip in a very prompt manner, as well as being helpful while we were staying there. They were able to hold our bags for us when we arrived several hours prior to check in so we could go sightseeing, and they held them again for us for a couple of hours after checkout so we could see a few more things before leaving town. The room was spacious, modern and clean - very comfortable! I believe we got a very good deal using this site, so we were thrilled to see how nice this hotel was. We loved our two night stay there and would absolutely love to stay there again!"
