Laura booked the house to have fun with their 12 yo son. I thought our house was in a great location for fun & educational purpose because Great America, Levy’s stadium, and Intel museum were just walking distance. I guess I was wrong given her review. Sure our house is not near a farmer’s market where she wanted to go. Laura’s review that I was trying hard to please my guests should be expected, however Laura was both false on 1) projecting that the other reviewers are “timid” in writing bad review because “I am sweet” and 2) concluding that it is simply to attain positive reviews. I am genuinely nice to my guests and other people, and I often offer my guests tomatoes and fruits when in season. However, I don’t usually have a chance to meet my guests due to my busy schedule. They voluntarily write their reviews based on their own experience. I gave Laura more attention in responding to her request/comment. Her review that the generator was on 24/7x365 is also totally false. This machine (I honestly don’t know what the machine is) is in a metal enclosure close to the stadium (distant from the house) and runs on certain days for a few hours (appears to be no fixed schedule, but not at night). The technicians at the stadium told me it might be part of the water filtration system or fan system (but not a generator). She also exaggerated other things in her review. This house has central AC/heat, and the thermostat is in the hallway where you can easily adjust to your liking. The infrequent events at Levy’s stadium normally finish before 10pm, likewise Great America. The airplane curfew is 11:30pm to 6:30am, but very few airplanes passing after 10pm. If you are sensitive to noise, you can have a quiet time by closing all the windows (adjusting AC/heat to your comfort). You can watch the smart TV itself or hook it on to your laptop. There are plenty of kitchen seats available for 2-5 people. The neighborhood is very safe and family oriented-no problem for children and elderly walking on the streets day & night. I walk & run twice a day in the neighborhood by myself or with my little dog! A lot of hi tech companies nearby–it is truly heart of Silicon Valley! “Bars on door kind of place” description came across as very offensive and inapplicable here. I’m sure that Laura must have failed to notice the number of new & modern houses right across the street and in the neighborhood. Laura’s overt and implicit rancor was insulting to me and the other reviewers.
