"Everything was as advertised ,clean and functional. The host went out of her way to make sure that my experience was first class and it was. A big shout out to her neighbor who pitch hit for her When she hurt her leg. It’s very close to the train station maybe five minutes by car and it made the right into Douro very very easy."

"Lovely quiet holiday in the country, and still on the Algarve, not an English breakfast or fish and chips in sight, the accommodation is great and suited us well, plenty of room to site out on the patio's and enjoy the sunshine. It's a five mile drive to get to the shops so a car is a necessity, there is a little Portuguese cafe / bar just down the road that does nice coffee. "We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. A well equipped house and the fresh water pool was a delight. The views are lovely. Arie was a great host (don't forget to ask for directions). A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We'd love to come back!"

"Place is just as described. Very small but great location with view of the beautiful beach from our balcony and close to restaurants!! Great area for hiking. We had some trouble finding it and had to ask local resident. In your check in notes you could mention it’s above the ice cream shop and there’s a narrow access on the left across from Breeze cafe !"

"Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

"This charming cottage is right on the beach, which you will pretty much have to yourself in the early morning and evenings/nights. It was also quiet all day on the Sunday we were there. The patio is stunning. There are fantastic restaurants so close you can see them from your patio. You are about at the half-way point on the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, an easy walk to Praia de Marinha (1/2 hour tops). We were always able to find free parking just above the cottage. It is a STEEP walk on stairs...
