Beds are comfortable and the room has a small refrigerator and microwave. Needs to put a drape over the slider doors to keep out the light at night.

Clean, older property, comfortably furnished within walking distance to Asilomar beach. Short drive to downtown Pacific Grove and the Aquarium. The staff is friendly, thoughtful and accommodating.

Stayed two nights and liked the closeness to the ocean. The place was clean and liked the balcony. It was a nice quiet area. Nothing fancy, old furniture, but would for the price it was fine.

Multiple Pubes on the “clean” towels. Had few dunk guys walking around. One walked into our room. Reported it to the staff they didn’t seem to care. No complementary breakfast or coffee that was listed as available.

Hi Mr and Mrs. Segal,I very much appreciate hearing from you. Although your experience is unusual, it concerns us nonetheless. Firstly, we apologize about your towels. We will have a conversation with our launderer about your concerns.Secondly, breakfast is advertised from 8am to 9am and you did not return to check out till 2pm which was way past the check out time of 11am and you did not let front desk know that you would be needing a late check out. Front desk agents would have advised you that breakfast is only from 8-9 and does not last all day as you would not see this at any other hotel no matter where you travel. For future reference please let any hotels in advance of your travel plans so they may accommodate your request if it is possible.

the staff was nice on arrival . it was an ok place. It was clean. I would recommend reading some of the other reviews. The comments about the sliding glass doors are valid, and there is a musty odor also mentioned in the comments is also true. The shutters on the doors are ridiculous. Other than that it was ok. Its very convient to everywhere In PG and Monterey . I would actually stay their again , but not my first choice.

Olympia Lodge is located in such a beautiful location with the beach only blocks away. The room is on the older side but feels clean and comfortable. The staff is wonderful, parking is free and they even had to go breakfast boxes that we were not expecting.

Waste of Money

The refrigerator was leaking water, so the carpet in front of the fridge, which happens to be in front of the sink, was wet the whole time. The heater is very old and took hours to actually heat the room. The furniture were beat up and old. Most of the window shutter blinds were broken. Parking was not available at the hotel so had to park in the street. I booked this hotel because it was rated as a 3 star hotel at Hotels.com, however, it is a one start hotel at the best.

The area was calm. So calm that we saw 3 deers from the parking lot. The "breakfast" could of been better, the crossaint and palmier were stale and the two mints were strange. Maybe some yogurt or boxed cereal would've been better. They don't get stale. And we didn't really have a door door, just a sliding door. But the rooms were clean just had a moist smell. The heater works well and we couldn't hear our neighbors. All in all a solid 3 of 5.

Room was clean but unimpressive, which makes sense given it’s a more affordable option. Decor is a bit tired and worn and rooms feel rather austere. Staff was efficient and friendly. Main room for improvement was noise. It was easy to hear water pipes and neighboring guests through the walls, and housekeeping and cleaning staff get started quite early, which was also noisy. One morning someone started running a leaf blower on the property around 9 a.m., well before checkout time (not ideal for those who like to sleep in a bit). Overall, it’s a decently average/okay place to stay.
