I stayed at this property for 7 nights. I attended a medical conference at the luxurious Caribe Royale down the road for 3 days and my husband flew our 2 toddlers down so we can enjoy Orlando/Disney for the remaining 4 days.
Pros of the property-
-Close proximity to Disney (12+ minutes) drive and to restaurants and shopping
-it had everything in an apt- fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer & dryer
-pool area was nice
Cons-
-smelt musky/old
-all the furniture was so outdated and impractical. IE- the drawers fell out or wouldn’t close, so things were just kept in the suitcases. The couches were old and uncomfortable. The TV had limited Chanel’s and the connection was awful, couldn’t actually watch a tv show as it kept cutting out. The stove was definitely not working. We found out by heating a pizza after an hour at 350 the cheese was barely melted. The next day, we tried to cook chicken fingers for our toddlers and set it to 450 instead of 350 and still after 45 minutes barely warm.
-the showers didn’t have hot , hot water (warm but not hot) and the pressure was terrible.
- the walls all need paint! Dents and scuffs everywhere. The white baseboards were really all dirty and the tile floors were also old and dirty. I didn’t let me kids walk barefoot.
-curtains frayed and smelled
It felt like an old dusty, odd smelling apt that is in desperate need of updates. We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs- this is in need of major updates and paint!
- the front staff were rude upon checking in!
- the walking area “nature walk” was unsafe. It’s all roped off or has cones in sections. When walking around the cone, I thought the desk was going to collapse. Needs to be torn down, more than half of it is unusable.
I actually went to the local store and bought cleaning products, gloves and air fresheners to be able to complete our stay here. I did not want to be cleaning on my vacation, but I didn’t feel comfortable having my kids join otherwise.
