「This was mainly a fishing trip so we were expecting a rather rustic cottage. It was not. Very comfortable, lots of comfy seating with blankets and pillows and many extras. John and Rachel came to introduce themselves the first night and we found them very down to earth And friendly. We would definitely recommend this to anybody coming to the area. They are open year-round.」

「This was our first time in Aroostook County and we weren’t sure what to expect and now we can’t wait to come back! This house was truly amazing! It had everything that we needed to make our week magical. It was perfect for our dogs and the lake was perfect. The water was great and we loved exploring the different parts of the lake on our paddle board. Cross ride to the Canada boarder, easy to cross into NB and get back. Overall, perfect place for a family vacation.」

「The property has a large grassy back yard that provides gorgeous views of the lake. A wooden gliding bench allows for morning coffee by the water, listening to the loons. The shower had plenty of hot water for two of us. The only downfall was that many of the window screens were broken or bent and did allow mosquitos to come in.」

「The cabin was perfectly situated for eclipse viewing and my family had a great time. My husband wished he had gotten to be there at a snowier time, but you can’t pick the day of an eclipse! Quiet and the view of stars at night were excellent, as well.」

「Our family stayed here to see the Total Solar Eclipse. The cabin fit all of our needs with enough bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped with just about everything you need. 「Our experience at the Canterbury Royale was to the highest level of attention. The cottage was inviting and was as if we were guests at a foreign location adorned with a beautiful arched pergola wrapped with mature grapes.
