This property was just right for our family of 3 and would have been great even if all of us 6 (adults) were travelling together. We enjoyed all of the room, the convenient location to all of the places we need to go and the full kitchen to cook and eat some of our meals and especially make our morning cup of coffee.
Only thing—the communication with the owner is not quick at all. We had a perpetual problem with the alarm during the entire stay. Tried to communicate this through VRBO, then text, then a phone call (left a VM). I didn’t get an answer until 3:49 a.m. just this morning of our departure. Super frustrating as we had to vacation with this annoying message that would announce the problem (apparently there were 3 failing alarm sensors on the property) even through the night. Being a light sleeper and having the same sort of alarm system at my own home, I would wake up several times the first 2 nights only to remind myself that it’s a false alarm.
While waiting for the owner’s answer, we originally followed the Post-it instruction to not touch the alarm console, then we fiddled with it to try to decrease the volume, then we wrapped the console with a small towel and a bunch of tape we found on property. Helped a little but not a lot.
The other things is that you need a key to enter the property. Other places we’ve stayed have all had keypads on their doors—no concern about getting locked out. The owner doesn’t get back to you in a timely manner (whereas others d
