"If you want to feel like you are starring in your own movie in a charming English village, book Well Cottage! The cottage is situated in the most perfect location. I did not have a car. So I spent mornings on long walks and then a nice lunch in the village. "The stable was much bigger than the photos show & was veer clean & spacious with everything to hand. The owners Jan & Nick have thought of everything. The garden & woods are lovely, we were lucky to be there with the bluebells in full bloom. Enjoyed seeing all the animals including horses, rabbits, squirrels & lots of different birds. The stars are amazing when the night sky is clear. Lots of places to visit, we went to Rye, Hastings, Canterbury & Bodiam Castle."

"The Hideaway is a quaint cottage with outstanding cleanliness and amenities. The added touch of snacks waiting for us was so appreciated and welcomed. I also appreciated the flyers of local activities. Communication was excellent and very prompt…an added touch of hospitality. Neighbors were friendly and well accommodating while we were unloading. And York is a lovely city."

"Our stay at the Lodge was so lovely that we extended another night. The quality of furniture and decor is excellent. The kitchen was one of the best stocked we have stayed in when it came to utensils, it had everything you could think of to cook some lovely home family meals. The lodge was warm and cosy for our family of 4 inc our toddler and little dog, perfect for our relaxing stopover from Scotland back to London. "

The location is perfect with a bit of a sea view from the bedroom window. The cottage has a lovely cosy feel to it, beds are really comfy and has everything you need for a short/ long stay. "Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too."

As always (this was our 4th visit,) the cottage is absolutely spotlessly clean, well equipped with every piece kitchen equipment you need, TVs in every room with full access to Netflix / Freeview as well as games etc. for rainy days. The property is located in the grounds of the owner’s property who provided us with a warm welcome and recommended places to eat and walk. The village is great and has pubs, bars and cafes a short walk away, we didn’t need to use the car all weekend. Would recommend"
