"Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "

"Wildgoose Cottage was a fabulous, away from it all break. The only noise we heard was nature, cows, pheasant and lots of birds. We were lucky to see a deer with a fawn and boxing hares. This is a very relaxing place to stay but a good 45 minutes walk to the centre of Whitby either along the road or the Cleveland Way."

"We spent two nights in Willie McLeod's house on Skye. The house is located way out on the peninsula, about an hour from Portree. It overlooks a sheep farm and far views of the sea. Be sure to reference Lorraine's instructions as GPS/SatNav might not work. The home is very comfortable. We enjoyed a fire one night because the evening was cool, but also had an impromptu picnic on the picnic bench the next (warm) afternoon. "The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

"Can’t fault any part of our stay, the house was perfect 5 adults and one three year old. Lots of space, down stairs bedroom with ensuite was perfect for great grandparents. Outside area was nice in the morning to sit with a coffee, lots of green space for little one to run and explore. Kitchen had everything and a lovely welcome gift. "End House Inverness was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. We forgot it had two bathrooms, so we were so excited to see that it had that. The provisions provided to get us started were very thoughtful and helpful. The house was roomy, clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked. The directions provided for all the amenities were more than sufficient to make correct use of them. We hope to be able to stay here again some day."

"Staithes is mine and my partner's favourite place in the UK. We have stayed in Staithes a few times now and I can honestly say I would recommend this cottage to anyone. "We used this cute little cottage as a stop off on the way to Scotland. Loved the views from the garden and having breakfast on the terrace while watching the sheep with their lambs. Close enough to Keswick for amenities but far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet."

"Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too."
