高級ホテルですが、スタッフはフレンドリーで好感が持てました！Xmasの飾り付けもとても素敵で、部屋も清潔でした。朝食が混んでいて少し待たされたりはしましたが、誠意を感じられたので全く問題はなかったです。ただ、トラムの駅などから、少しだけ距離があるのでスーツケースを引いて移動するのは、雨が降るとなかなか大変かなと思います。

日本において、英国住宅建築では№１の建築士の方に紹介され宿泊したが、全ての点で最高に満足した。私が尊敬する大好きなロバート・アダムによって１７７５年に建築されたこのジョージアンスタイルホテルのエントランス並びにエントランスホールは感動的な美しさで、素晴らしかった。ホールの壁の色、モールディング、コラム、凝った装飾材、アーチデザイン等のコンビネーションに、いつまでも居たい…と思った。『The King's Hall』も拝見させてもらったが、圧巻であった。ゲストルームはコンテンポラリーインテリアに改築されたものであったが、非常に清潔で美しく、快適に過ごせた。何よりもコンシェルジュや、正装であるキルトを着たスタッフの方々の対応がホスピタリティ溢れ、かつフレンドリーであり、とても楽しくて嬉しかった。今後もまた宿泊したい。

We love the location of this hotel, the breakfast was outstanding, and we were allowed to check in early. The only negative I can possibly think of is that the bathroom didn't have enough counter space. Other than that this stay was perfect!

Wonderful location and welcoming staff. We had a comfortable stay and the room was always stocked with plenty of complementary snacks and water. The room was small but that was to be expected. The bathroom was tiny and the shower design was a bit lacking as the floor was easily flooded by the shower if not extremely careful. Overall a lovely stay for our family of four.

Intercontinental The George 3 night stay

We visit Edinburgh once a year & have stayed in various locations. We booked the Intercontinental based on the location as we were planning to be in New Town more for this visit. We were checked in quickly with all relevant information passed on & found our room to be lovely. We had already planned our visit so other than breakfast we did not eat at the hotel, however breakfast was exceptional. Amar in the restaurant made sure each day that all was well & was very attentive. The food for breakfast was well cooked & hot - we both mentioned it was the best hotel breakfast we had eaten. Having stayed in many hotels we will most definitely return to the intercontinental & would highly recommend it to all as it had everything spot on - Thankyou. We were actually there for my husbands birthday & we were treated to an upgrade to the club room one morning for breakfast. I don’t believe you were aware of that, but it made the break even more memorable - Thankyou

This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. I stayed here last May and loved it so much I returned last week. The old town of Edinburgh is a short walk away, while the hotel, itself, is on the edge of the new town with many great shops, pubs and restaurants from which to choose. The staff is very friendly and management truly aims to please. You won't be disappointed with this choice and personally, I am already looking forward to my return!
