Dunkeld is a magical place and we love each visit. Recommendations would be to have a secure safe and a Nespresso coffee machine in each lodge

A beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. Staff were brilliant, food was tasty, rooms were clean tidy and very comfortable. Overall, a wonderful hotel

Room was fantastic for staying with our young son. Service for dining was average, we ate early in the bar area but staff all seemed like they had showed up late. At first there was no one about then lots appeared all fussing over candles on tables and busy work instead of asking guests what they’d like or where they should sit. Food was very good though. Pool area looks great and very clean but pool temp is cold! more like an Olympic training pool than a spa hang out. Mens changing room looking very tired - felt a bit unclean but maybe just the age. Overall 4 stars as food, rooms and surroundings were fantastic but little things dropped a star.

Generally disappointed with overall experience and overpriced for double room offering considering it was upgraded with Expedia booking but did not include breakfast. Upon arrival I was asked to pay in full for the entire 2 night stay with the receptionist quoting the price out loud (for everyone in the queue behind and my girlfriend to hear who was there on a treat) - not a good first impression or welcoming experience on arrival! We then went to get a drink from the bar although we queued for at least 10 minutes until 1 of 5 bar members that were cleaning and doing other tasks acknowledged us! We took the drinks to a window seat in the conservatory bar area but we were then told by 2 different staff members that we couldn’t sit there even though the bar was entirely empty. Once we finished our drinks (that had been assigned to our room) we left and were swiftly chased down at reception to sign for a table of drinks and food that were not ours and 5x the value. These points highlight the apparent lack of staff training in customer service and putting the customer first whilst being professional and showing some subtlety! The room was clean and a nice place to relax although the common areas are tired and not all that clean. The spa changing rooms and showers were dirty and are in need of an upgrade! Lovely setting and stunning location, just a shame about the service.

Poor reception service
Booked x3 comfort double. Was given one of the newer rooms in the annexe and 2 others. The 2 other rooms looked as if they hadn’t been done up since the 80’s. When queried with reception twice I was told that comfort doubles were those rooms and not the more modern ones. Clearly not true as we had a refurbished room. Charging £190 per night for these older rooms is daylight robbery. I was told I was wrong by reception and to speak to the reservations team. Not great considering we had a party of 10 people in 4 rooms in total through a separate booking. An expensive night for accommodation similar to a budget 3 star hotel.
