「Amazing stay, even extended twice. The service is second to none, everything is no problem. From the amazing view of the sea to all the varied wildlife in the grounds, posse of monkeys visit every day drinking from the pool and generally being monkeys to peacocks, a mongoose, frogs, all the birds. Nick the owner is a friendly chap and clearly set the ethos of this place and is always around to help if needed. Kalpa and Umesh (managers) are great, absolute credit to the place. 「This is the 3rd time that I am returning to Halcyon. It really is the best hotel on Mawella beach (and maybe even in whole of southern province :) The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff are super friendly, including owner Xander, it's absolutely right on the beach , the food is great. What more to say, it's a little peace of heaven :) 」

「We really enjoyed our 2 night stay, rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the pool and the safaris organized by the lodge, who supplies rangers in addition to drivers in the safari vehicles. We opted to add an optional safari to increase our chances of seeing the elephants and leopards. Excellent staff, Sasha was very helpful, Venura in the restaurant was great and so was our Ranger Amida. 」

「If you are looking for a dose of peace & quiet, this is it. Long empty beaches, palm trees, the occasional monkey, orchids in the garden. The staff was very friendly. There are only 12 rooms, so theres a familiar feel in staying here. The rooms and grounds were very clean. The view from my room was spectacular. The things that could be improved: i found the mattress to be uncomfortable. The onsite restaurant was good, but not excellent. I sure wish they would provide a water dispenser with...

「Majatalo oli pieni, siinä näytti olevan vain kaksi huonetta (jotka molemmat olivat isoja). Sijainti oli syrjäinen, mutta hyvä Yalan kansallispuistoa ajatellen. Syrjäisen sijainnin vuoksi oli käytännössä pakko syödä majatalossa. Sieltä sai ruokaa tilaamalla sen etukäteen. Ruoka ei ollut mitenkään ihmeellistä, esim. kana oli kuivaa. Huone oli hyvässä kunnossa. Se oli sisältä vähän pimeä, koska katossa ei ollut lamppua. Huoneessa oli useita pistorasioita, joihin sopi suoraan suomalaisetkin...

「At end of a 4x4 dirt trail, the brothers have worked hard during difficult times to create a small high-end eco-friendly resort in the woods where monkeys play and peacocks crow. Recently built modern brick and plaster cottages with a/c face a lagoon lake with a property adjacent to Yala National Park. Service is excellent.」

「自然に囲まれたホテルです。目の前には海が広がり、庭には牛が歩いていました。 ホテルの周りには何もないので、ホテルで食事をすることがメインとなりましたが、朝・昼のビュッフェは美味しかったです。ゲストは欧米人が多かったので、カレー以外のお料理もありました。ホテルの中に、ショップがなかったので、街までの距離は遠く、周りに何もないからこそ、ショップがあったらよかったのになぁと思いました。客室でwifiは、ほとんど通じませんでした。」

「コロンボの空港から直接空港に向かいました。 ホテルについたのは夜中。 国立公園内にあるので水牛や、シカ、うさぎ、クロコダイルなどが道にたくさんいて、 到着するまでの道のりで夜行性の動物が活動しているのがたくさん見れました。 それが一番良かったことです。 ついたのが遅かったから、こちらのホテルのサービスを堪能することなく終わりましたが、 朝ごはんが、私達はモーニングサファリから帰ってきたあと食べれること、昼くらいに戻ることを伝えてから、食事を取れることを確認してから出発したにも関わらず、サファリから戻ってきたら朝食が取れないと言われました。 それが残念なことです。 そのまま朝サファリをしたらチェックアウトしたので全くホテルのサービスは満喫していませんが、レイクビューのプールはさすがといった感じでした。 もしもう一度ヤーラ公園に同じスケジュールで来るなら、サービス受ける時間がないのでホテルをランクダウンするとおもいます。」

「All staff members are so kind and friendly. Every service was perfect and comfortable for me from the checking in to checking out. We booked the hotel very last minutes, but the staff helped me for the meal arrangement and the safari arrangement smoothly so there was no inconvenience and negative comments for the stay! I’d like to come and visit here again. 」

「Overall a cool experience, we stayed in the sky nest. It is important to know that the road getting to resort is very very rough, essentially off-roading in a jeep, maybe even worse than safari. I wouldn’t recommend older adults or young children or anyone with a disability. The resort had kind staff, great evening bbq and early morning safari packed breakfast. Our only negative was that the safari guide booked through them was not good, of note he was not their usual safari guide on staff. We...
