Location: About 90 km from Colombo, surrounded by lush rainforest and the Kelani River.

Rafting Route: Usually covers 5 km (short run) along the Kelani River.

Rapids: Mostly Grade 2 and 3 – suitable for beginners, families, and adventure seekers.

Scenery: Tropical jungle, small waterfalls, and riverbank wildlife.

Season: Best conditions from May to December, but rafting is available year-round depending on water levels.

Kitulgala is also known as the filming location for The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957).
