What you can expect
Explore the vibrant metropolis Guangzhou and discover its many highlights in a single day. Visit some of the most popular attractions, including the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, Zhenhai Tower, Five-Ram Statue, the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, and Shamian Island.
Get picked up in the morning from your hotel in central Guangzhou and begin to explore the city's many highlights. First, enter the Museum of the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King. Admire ancient funeral objects dating to the Han Dynasty almost 2,000 years ago, discovered in downtown Guangzhou in 1983. In addition, check out the Zhenhai Tower, a 5-story pagoda built in 1380 during the Ming Dynasty, and the Five-Ram Statue on the top of Yuexiu Hill.
Eat lunch a local restaurant before you visit the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, a striking example of classical, 17th-century South China architecture. Make a final stop at Shamian Island, with colonial architecture and history that serves as a tranquil reminder of French and British rule. At the end of the tour, get dropped off back at your hotel.
