Recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO, Portovenere is surrounded by the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a combination of history, culture and natural beauty. Lerici (Pass by)
Lerici, a picturesque town on the Ligurian coast, is another jewel of the Gulf of La Spezia. This charming village is known for its beautiful beaches, colorful houses and lively harbour. Lerici's most notable landmark is the medieval castle, which dominates the town and offers stunning sea views. Built in the 12th century, the castle has a rich history and today houses a geological museum. The history of Lerici dates back to Roman times and over the centuries it has been an important maritime and cultural centre. Isola Palmaria (Pass by)

Isola del Tino (Pass by)
The Isola del Tino, located in the Gulf of La Spezia, is a small but rich historical part of the UNESCO world heritage site that includes Portovenere and the Cinque Terre. The island is known for its rugged landscape, dense vegetation and its significant historical and cultural heritage. Tino Island is home to the remains of a 6th century monastery dedicated to San Venerio, patron saint of lighthouse keepers. The Tino Lighthouse is also located on the island, which has guided sailors safely since the 19th century. Due to its historical and military importance, Isola del Tino is mostly a reserved military area, but opens to the public once a year on September 13th, the feast day of San Venerio. Surrounded by clear, turquoise waters and offering breathtaking views of the Ligurian coast.
