What you can expect
You will meet at The Beach Hut Cafe, Trafalgar Wharf for a coffee where you will be given a full brief on safety and the days activity. We will then depart Trafalgar Wharf for a leisurely cruise past the historical Portchester Castle, an impressive Roman Saxon Shore fort and then on past the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, where Lord Nelson's flagship HMS Victory, & HMS Warrior 1860 are now restored. Portsmouth Harbour is also the home port for the Royal Navy's newest and largest aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth which you may be lucky to see as we pass through the Royal Navy Base. You will then pass the Emirates Spinnaker Tower. This imposing structure stretches 170 metres above Gunwharf Quays. Once out of the Harbour we will pass by Spit Bank Fort built in 1867, and the Buoy that marks where the Mary Rose was raised after being on the sea bed for 437 years. Your trip will then take you over to the Isle of Wight and into Osborne Bay where you will be able to see Osborne House Queen Victoria and Prince Alberts summer home from the water. We will then stop off for a coffee and a chance to explore Cowes on the isle of Wight before heading back out on the water for some high speed maneuvering on the Solent and to really experience the thrill of boating. We will then make passage back to Trafalgar Wharf.
